In the book Taggerung Fwirl's parents are attacked by vermin. Madd was wounded and her family was belived to be dead. Madd's wound was a head wound...didn't Fwirl said her mother (Who she thought dead) head a head wound?

Just because of how Madd was written as a character, I don't think she'd recognize her own daughter if she ever had one.   She couldn't even recognize creatures who were inherently good from those who clearly would destroy her given the chance.
