Vash nodded to Thomas. "Who knows?" he said on reply to Antura.

Norham Waterpaw

Norham was plotting a way out of his prison. "How hard could it possibly be to get out of this thing?" He thought to himself.
A vermin walked too closely under the cage.

(Now remember here, Norham is being gaurded by archers, ready for an epic escape?)

Norham grabbed the vermin, who happened to be a slave driver, Olgemas, and pulled him up in front of the bars of his raised cage. A gaurd shot at Norham, but only hit Olgemas. Norham reached around, ripped out the arrow, and sliced the rope that was suspending him from the tree. Before he hit the ground, he had already picked the lock, with the same arrow. Norham ran for his life, but not into the woods, but into the camp. He found his stuff, and ran, knowing he could see Riggaeo at any moment, and go into a rage.
He needed an army to help him out of this, and the next best thing happened. He heard a loud cry from the woods. "LOGALOGALOGALOGALOGALOG!!!" Slingstones rained on the enemy like angry hornets. With no time for introduction, Norham ran with the strange, spiky-furred small beasts. They all retreated toward
Redwall. All those on the wall could see the shrews and one otter being chased by an entire horde.
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

"Whatever that was, it sounded like someone has someone needs help. Do you have a sword I could borrow?"

OOC: cue him being told to look for one and finding the sword of martin, if thats okay with you guys.

KitrallStreamrippler

OOC: Norham- very nice! That escape put Houdini to shame.
Thomas- 'S fine with me. (Can't speak for anyone else, though)

BIC: Antura heard a Guosim warcry from outside the abbey, and she rushed to the front gate to peek through a knothole. She saw a large group of shrews, headed by an otter, fleeing towards the abbey. Antura recruited some nearby creatures to help her open the gates. Somebeast on the walltop yelled frantically, "Open the gates!" But Antura did not give the signal until Norham was about to run into the gate. Then, as soon as the last shrew was inside, the gates were slammed shut. There came the faint thunk!s of several arrows embedding themselves in the wood, and Antura breathed a sigh of relief. That was close.
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight!

Thomas Barkshield

Thomas rushed up to Norham. "you're the otter who helped me escape the vermin camp! Tell me, were you in trouble these past few hours? If so it would explain some uneasy feelings I've been having. By the way, the names Thomas Barkshield."

Quickpaw

Vash heart was pounding. He had a very nervous look, and there was a reason why. Many gousim where glaring at him with hating looks, and about five of them where holding spears a few inches from his neck. He didn't dare move, or make a sound, or breath for that matter. He just stood there like a statue as the little creatures eyed him.
I LOVE 80's music.

Norham Waterpaw

Norham intervened on Vash's part. "Hey, if the abbeydwellers are ok with him, you should be too! Put down those spears!" The shrews obeyed. Norham looked at Vash, finally recognizing him. "Hey, aren't you the one who.." Norham looked around, all the shrews were staring at him and Vash. Norham continued slowly. "Aren't you the one who repaired our cart, when it's wheel popped off?" Vash smiled and nodded vigorously. This was satisfactory for the shrews. They left. Norham then spoke in a hushed tone. "Um, no hard feelings about earlier, right?"

Quickpaw

"If anything, I should be asking you that." he whispered back apologetically. "Thanks for helping me, too." he added.
I LOVE 80's music.

"I am very glad to have you here my friend, but I am afraid there is still an angry horde of vermin out there, and I still need a sword."

Norham Waterpaw

Norham sat on the battlements, waiting for dinner, while he waited, he hummed an old tune he learned when he was young

Melvin stumbled along the walltop, ruffling his feathers against all that tried to help him. He stopped standing next to Norham, "Och, thet's a purty tune."
Linda swung herself on her crutches toward the wall stairs, ignoring the odd arrow. She stopped at the bottom of the wallstairs bent her knees and used the crutches as a swing. She was waiting for a creature that needed help, because she had no idea of what to do.

Quickpaw

Vash saw Linda as she swung. "Hello." he said blankly.
I LOVE 80's music.

Antura heard Thom's request for a sword and replied cheerily, "Well, we haven't got an armory here, but let's see what we can find you, eh?" She headed off toward the abbey, motioning for the mouse to follow her.

Thomas Barkshield

Thomas was glad that someone had answered his request. He would feel better with a sword in hand. "A bow to pick off  some unlucky vermin would be good too" he thought.

OOC: Linda could remember the mouse that was having memory problems...

KitrallStreamrippler

OOC: Oops! Sorry for Antura's apparent unconcern for Vash's predicament. She could see that Norham was handling it, though.
Norham- I'm going to start playing Baypaw now, if that's all right.

BIC: Antura led Tom into Great Hall, pausing for a moment to think. Now, where's a likely place for weapon storage? Hm. Maybe I'd better ask the Abbess.

In the Infirmary, Sister Baypaw was being kept quite busy. A constant stream of creatures had been moving in, out and through the sickbay all day, and her patience was wearing a bit thin. She glanced out the window between patients, and saw Melvin take an arrow, then shrug off any would-be helpers. The hare's ears quivered with anger. "Foolish kite! He'll get himself jolly well killed if he continues on takin' wounds without getting them flippin' seen to," she muttered darkly.
