Quickpaw

Vash came back with a couple plants he had found in the infirmary, and also some tools. The plants were medicinal at least.

Norham Waterpaw

Norham woke to the hustled breathing of Baypaw. She was mixing this and that, adding things to it. "Was it really that bad?" He thought to himself, wondering if he would live.
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

OOC: He can't die! No really, he can't- because he appears in a later RP.

When Baypaw finished mixing the antidote, she turned to put it on Norham's wound and she that he was awake. When he spoke, her voice was quiet. "I'm going to put this on your blinkin' scratch, wot. It might sting a bit, but only for a moment." She unwrapped the bandages covering his wound and took a quick look at it while applying the antidote. It was much better already- with luck, it could be healed in just a few days, though Norham would likely have long-term effects from it.
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight!

Norham Waterpaw

Ooc: Oh, I know, but Norham doesn't. :D

Norham passed out again, not from pain though. He passed out from lack of water this time. The poison was gone, but he needed water.

Baypaw was less alarmed this time, but still worried. What was wrong now? She was sure that the antidote had gotten rid of all traces of poison. Maybe it was exhaustion, or shock from his ordeal...

Norham was dreaming once again. The huge snake that he saw befor had killed every beast around him. It was him, versus the snake. There was one more figure, it was the white wildcat, telling him something...

Riggaeo sat in his tent, pariently waiting. It appeared he had won, but the Redwallers would not stand down. His army was getting hungry, and he had to act now! He stepped outside of his tent. He strode through the tightly packed vermin horde.

Baypaw frowned in worry- Norham was hallucinating, calling out feverishly from the depths of unconsciousness. Something about a snake, and a wildcat. Suddenly Baypaw knew the problem: dehydration! It must be pretty bad by now though, if he was hallucinating. Baypaw found a canteen of water, but then realized that the only way Norham could drink it was if he was awake. She set about trying to wake him up.

Riggaeo stood framed against the moon. His fur gleamed, as if it were aglow all on its own. He spoke, not loudly, but could be easily heard somehow. "My fellow beasts, this Redwall! It has rebelled against our rule for far too long! Let us take down this haven, those hallowed halls have stood for far too long!" His men gave a huge shout, and began chanting." Starswift! Starswift! Kill, kill, kill!

Antura was tossing and turning in an uneasy sleep when the shouts of Riggaeo's army woke her. She rushed up to the west walltop, to see Riggaeo standing in front of his horde, probably working them into a battle frenzy. She wished that she was a good archer, but she couldn't even draw a bow properly, much less hit was she was aiming at. But she did know an archer! Smiling secretly, she slipped out a back wallgate and hurried off into the woodlands.

OOC: I'm going to bring in a character, but he's not a real character or anything... anyone can play him or whatever.

Vash heard the horde's shouts and hollers, and it made him feel uneasy. How long was he going to stay here?

Ooc: You can make him real, s'fine by me. :)

OOC: 'Kay. I'll post a character sheet for him in the OOC Discussion thread later today, as I'm helping out at my church this morning- preparing for summer camp, dontcha know. ;D

Antura had been walking for about twenty minutes when she stepped into a small clearing that had a stream running through it. On the opposite bank was a spreading oak tree. She gathered up some pebbles and began tossing them into the foliage. She was soon rewarded by a low cry and a stream of curses. Leaves rustled, and an aging shrew dropped out of the tree, an arrow clutched in his paw. He glared at Antura, who waved cheerily. "Of all the cheeky, thick-headed beasts to come callin' at midnight, it had to be you." The shrew shook his head with an over-exaggerated sigh, then waded swiftly across the stream to shake paws with Antura. They were both grinning as they exchanged greetings. "Antura, me darlin', what've ye been eating? You're twice as tall as me now!" "Haha! You've got it backwards, Zef. I'm not growing taller, you're getting shorter!" In mock alarm, the shrew pretended to measure himself against a tree. "So I am! I used to be taller than this ash." Growing serious, Zef tugged at his belt distractedly. "What did ye come to see me about? It must be important if ye woke me this late." His otter friend nodded. "There's a whole horde of vermin camped out in front of Redwall. Their leader is a big white wildcat, name of Riggaeo Starswift. We've kept them out so far, but I don't know how long we can hold out. I was hoping you could put your talents to use for us, and maybe teach some others how to use a bow." Zef thought. "I can bring down as many vermin as get in range, but I can't teach. Archery isn't somethin' ye learn in one day anyhow. It takes time." Antura was used to her friend's solitary tendencies, and understood. "All right. Well, I'd best get back to the abbey- who knows what that white-furred scum is up to. Are you coming?" Zef began walking toward Redwall. "O' course. And as long as ye keep feedin' me Redwall vittles, I'll keep feedin' the vermin arrows."

Riggaeo sat within his tent. The tunnels they had made earlier were going quite well. His men had also made small stone and wood defense structures. They were all loaded with ballistas, and stocked with bolts. Siege towers with small trebuchets had also been constructed. His army was fed, now that they had found a good source of fish, mainly pike, from a secluded lake with an island in the center.
