Just a ferret, I guess. Or Navarre. ;D

@Rainshadow: When should Romsca and I find Sperra?

Romsca

What's Gasher's issue with killing ferrets anyway?

Hrm, I'm not quite sure.  I was thinking about an idea of Spera trying to draw the vermin away from the caves, running with a torch away from them, or something along those lines.  Not sure how well that would fit, though...  Help?  Someone?  :P

I don't think that would work, sense some of the vermin on the Bloodspine seem pretty smart for sea vermin, and would likely disregard a single beast with a torch as long as their boat is out to sea, and isn't in danger. However, if it isn't, a few characters might go about holing/burning the Bloodspine/smaller boats(the ones for sailing ashore in). Just a thought.

Say, Icefire, what do you say that Liv and Nevfae get into a tight spot together and have to work together to get out? They have tension and conflict between them, so it would be interesting to see how they use the other's skills and get out (hopefully) with both their lives intact.

Hmm...maybe, when Spera and the others finish rounding up everyone in the caves, Spera could go outside and be looking for another task to help with. Maybe Spera wanders down to the beach at the same time that the vermin that Visefang sends come ashore. Then the vermin pounce, and Spera becomes a captive. Then Xbalantie could come in and try to save her, but since there's no violence allowed, the vermin force her into submission by threatening Spera's life (I think Brook actually put something like that in the plans).

That's a pretty good idea, but I'm trying to figure out why Spera would go down to the beach in the first place.  I mean, in the middle of preparation of an attack, a lone squirrelmaid goes down to the beach?  Hmm, maybe the vermin get to the beach first and Spera sees something, so she's lured down?  Possibly the vermin intend to capture her?  Or maybe a freak accident where some vermin makes a noise or something?  That might make more sense than a casual stroll on the beach.  ;)

I didn't mean to suggest something like a casual stroll, I just meant that she might be wandering looking for some way to help after she's completed her first task. But I think those are good ideas. I like the one where Spera is lured down--I think it's the most believable.

Good idea! Like one of us are hungry and our stomach growls or something.

Haha, that'd be a very loud growl to be heard over the wind and rain, even if the rain were letting up.  ;)

Jeez! Yall are so impatient! :D

Okay, so first off, if you look back at the end of the last page, Brookskimmer posted that violence actually IS allowed in this section, so I'm not goin' down easy  ;) (hope yer ready fer the sick bay!/Infirmary! ;)) also, I was thinking, maybe Spera could have noticed something suspicious since things are still a little goofed up and vision would still be restricted for a while after the storm, or she could be chasing an ambitious babe (like Rollo or the mousebabe(s))

Thoughts? Criticisms? Beat-downs? >:D

Hmm, I like the whole 'chasing the babe' idea.  Now that's something that Spera would do!  And I have just the little babe for the trick!  For those who've read my post already, Joey the mousebabe might be a good idea for somebeast Spera would chase.  I made little hints in my post that he obviously escaped from his parents' grasp quite often.  ;)

Ooooo! That would be interesting! The only problem is what kind of situation can we get into when we're in two completely different places? My character is down helping get the tribe to safety right now and your character is up working on the balistas! I would like to see how that kind of situation would play out, though!
