David Wyatt really has it nailed, I think he would have to be my favourite.

I just wish that in his cover for Rakkety Tam, the character could be redone - Tam's eyes look slightly bulging and something seems off, despite the beautiful and vivid colours.
My ears, how are you, wot!

^ Those do look most splendid when you see the whole picture like that! Lovely detail and the composition is great for Loamhedge? one.

I need to check out the Rakkety Tam front cover again now!

Here's the version I'm on about:

And the US version:

Uk version is by David Wyatt, and I love the colours. But Tam looks better in the US version, which funnily enough is by Troy Howell, whose work I am otherwise not fond of.

Romsca

I love the background in the first one! Except... near the river... those two trees look like they belong in the Savannahs of Africa, not in "Scotland", aka "the Northlands"

MeadowR

Still prefer the UK cover! The colours are just so lushous.

David Wyatt has to be my favourite!

Shadowed One

Have you seen the High Rhulain one? Now, that is impressive! It has the otter raft on the lake, with the fortress burning behind it.
Martin the Warrior is way more epic than Mickey Mouse. Anyone who says otherwise is insane, or just wrong.

^ I have that cover on my copy of High Rhulain  :-*  ;)  :)

Ferrousferret

David Elliot. His work was les cutesy and had a bit of that fantastical, realistic element.

Plus, the chapter illustations used to freak people out who weren't familiar with the books. ;D

David Elliot is certainly my favourite chapter icon illustrator. It would have been interesting to see what he could have done with the covers.

I like the one who does the cover for High Ruhlain the hardcover one.
Never trust a smiling pirate.  :D

I can do that because I'm awesome.

"It really gets up my nose when publishers call my book another Lord of the Rings. It's my bloody book! I wrote it. And another thing, I didn't have to plunder Norse and European mythology to do it!" - Brian Jacques.

Jukka the Sling

David Wyatt's covers look really awesome!

As for the pictures at the beginning of each chapter, I like Fangorn and David Elliot.

Emperor Ublaz

Tony DiTerlizzi made Redwall illustrations? I have the book The Spider and the Fly, which he illustrated, but I had no idea he was associated with Redwall. That's cool!!

I like David Elliot's chapter illustrations. They're quite stylised, yet great drawings. :)
