 As I've said before, if you wanna learn to draw, the best way to start is to start drawing.  (I know, right?  Who woulda thought that if you started drawing, you'd improve after awhile? )  And no, sadly, I was not the genius who drew the adorable Eridan that is my profile picture.  I don't know who did, but they did it fantastically; it's probably my favourite drawing of Eridan ever.

I know, but some of us just aren't talented people And that's too bad that you didn't draw the picture, I could have sworn that it was done in your style (except for it being in color ).

Can I request something too? (I'm still deciding between two characters, but I don't want to bother you, so I'm going to wait for your reply before going into details -and it is perfectly fine if you can't at the time-)

Unless requests are down and you don't do location sketches, I'd like a certain drawing done.

For my unfinished, unreleased fanfic I'd like a sketch of this scene:

Wiping his brow, Ben stepped out into the dim city street. Straightening his coat, he took a left down Glisum Street and headed toward a small apartment building. Parked in the drive was a Ford Model A, his company car.

Just a view of the apartment, and Ben with a coat, maybe a cobblestone street, and a street lamp or two. Is that enough?

  Er, I'd say yes, but I'm not sure how much you'd like it...  See, I've never really drawn anything related to locations before; the closest thing I've done to that was when I drew a brick wall once. 

  If you really want my inexperienced hands to draw this, though, I'd be happy to oblige.  My only questions are what time period it's set in (so I don't accidentally base the scenery off of the wrong era) and what this Ben fellow looks like.  (Physical description, clothing, and maybe a little bit of a personality description so I don't draw him completely out of character or anything.  )

  Cool; I'll probably get on it next year or so, by how long it's taking me to do the other requests.   

  Art stuffs!  Not requests, sadly, but I'm most definitely working on them!  I've just kinda hit a block at the moment in both Ash-kun and Leatgo's requests, so I might be a bit with those.    But in the meantime, I drew up a bunch of weirdness:

  This was me drawing myself in various poses and outfits because I got bored on several occasions.  The reason I drew a chibi screaming about Fall Out Boy was my brother and I bought the Save Rock and Roll album a few weeks ago and were blasting it out the speakers in the car, so I was fangirling over it.    (Bigger image)



  Then I went to a party on the third of July and got bored, so I started doodling.  That's why the paper looks a bit messed up; I was outside in the sun.  But yeah, the girl in the dress was random boredomness, then the girl in the tanktop was a girl I saw in a fireworks place the next day, then my two siblings are beneath (short girl and tall guy), and I did a little doodle of my pirate elf (Cecil) next to them.  (Bigger image)



  And... uh, well, you guys obviously have noticed that I became a fan of Steven Universe recently, and... uh... well, see, a lot of SU fans make a "gemsona" of themselves, so... yeah.  I made a gemsona.  I'm a nerd.  A nerd whose gemsona is Labradorite, because labradorite is a gorgeous gem.  (Oh, and all the random words everywhere are basically just me trying to figure out what the colours would look like without actually having any colouring materials on hand.  )  (Bigger image)

  Finally, pirate peeps!  Although they should technically be called mercenaries, 'cause there isn't much murder and looting involved with them, but they live on an airship (a large craft that's basically a large saddle for a mountain-sized dragon (I'll work out the details at some point )), so... yeah.  PIRATES.  (Bigger image)

Those are really cool. Cecil looks like a member of the survey corps.

Also FOB are the best. The Phoenix is my favourite of their songs.

  @Skye-chan:  Thanks! 

  @Jet-kun:  Lol, funny you should say that, 'cause I kinda based his outfit off of the survey corps uniform.    He has a short jacket with long sleeves, wields twin swords (katanas (because I've decided that a katana is the generic elven sword )), and wears leggings with tall boots.  The only difference is the fact that instead of having ODM gear, Cecil has boot dagger thingies.  Not sure what to call 'em yet (and I don't know if they have an official name), but if you look in the second picture, he's got pointed boots.  Those are sharp metal dagger-like points that he uses mainly for fighting, but can also be used to climb walls, mountains, the ship if he falls off (which has been known to happen), etc.  Ahhh, I liked designing Cecil.  He's awesome. 

  And yes, FOB is amazing.  I reeeaaaalllllyyyyy like "The Phoenix".  "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark" is pretty awesome, too.  But I think my favourite off of Save Rock and Roll is either "Death Valley" or "Young Volcanoes".  Probably "Death Valley", though.  Gotta love that one.

I don't really listen to their music much but I like "Centuries".  that "The Phoenix" and "Immortals" are the only like the only songs I have heard by them (least that I know are by them) so I don't think my opinion carries much weight. XP

If you like FOB, I would consider checking out Panic! At the Disco. I mean, Panic! are a little more explicit but if you like the entirety of Save Rock and Roll they should be fine.

I was actually talking to Rain there. You said you have only listened to Centuries, The Phoenix and Immortals which are some of their more... innocent songs.

  @Faiy-chan:  Ooh, I like "Immortals".  I've only heard it a couple of times, but I like that 'un. 

  @Jet-kun:  Yeah, I'm not extremely bugged by songs like "Rat A Tat" or "The Mighty Fall", although if there are several explicit parts in a song, I'm not as likely to listen to it.  Still, I've heard that Panic! At the Disco is a pretty good band, and I've been meaning to listen to them, but I keep forgetting.

I'd check out C'Mon, Turn Off the Lights, Hurricane, and This is Gospel. One of my other favourites is Lying is the Most Fun but that is very explicit. I haven't heard all of their songs but I'm working on it.

EDIT: Just found out they did a song for Batman: Arkham City. It's called Mercenary and it's pretty great.
