Long Earth trolls are more similar to the Librarian (an orangutan) than to Discworld trolls, interestingly. There's even a Long Earth troll called the Librarian, which I think is a nod to the Discworld Librarian, as it was written after Terry Pratchett died. It was also only in later books that they were described as being like orangutans, before that they hadn't been described much. A WWI soldier who accidentally 'stepped' mistook them for Russian soldiers (who he'd never seen), so how humanlike they are isn't really said. They are, like Long Earth elves (again different to Discworld elves) described as 'humanoid'.
