Did Bladd Deserve what he got?

Yes
No
Sort of

Well what do you think? I really don't think Bladd deserved what he got, he never did anything really evil (his only evil act being cut short by a cauldron of oatmeal) and he spent most of his life running from Kurda.

I'd have to go with sort of. He didn't have the same evil mins as his sister did, and he wasn't the same bright time as his sister as well, making him just the type of guy to "go with the flow". But he was still evil in mind so I have to go with sort of.

I didn't see anything redeeming of him, even if he was just a follower, so I'd say Bladd was a baddie, and deserved what he got in the end, even if he never actually did anything truly evil.  Guilty by association as it is. ;)

I don't see why everybody thinks that Prince Bladd didn't deserve at all what he got!? He may have not been exacly "Evil", giving him some simpothy, even from me, but, as I said before, he was still evil of mind, and as Lutra said, just associating with the evil side makes him pretty deservent of the death he got.

I say yes because he was very happy ordering the slaves about remember  :-\

Yes Bladd deserved what he got because he couldn've changed his actions in many ways but instead he did nothing.
Fun. is a fantastic band.

The thing is, even if he wasn't a goodie, he really seemed too dimwitted to have a real conscience about what he was doing. I feel sorry for him. He was a bad guy, sure, but he never did anything to merit a death sentence. Of course, I much rather see vermin reformed, or at least rendered harmless, then dead. I have a pretty forgiving nature. (The  thing that bugs me about the Redwall books is how okay the good beasts are with the wholesale slaughter of their enemies after they are defeated. The Long Patrol are the worst offenders I believe.)

I agree! Although Tugga Bruster is probably even worse than the Long Patrol
