Apart from sport and Redwall, music is my favourite topic to talk about. This thread is to talk about anything music related. Who are your fave musicians? Do you play an instrument? What song are you listening to at the moment? Just anything music related really! Let's get it started!

I play piano. At the moment I am learning to play Fur Elise.

I play piano, but I don't take lesson anymore so I'm not that great. I've been trying to teach myself, but in the end I just pick a song I want to learn and learn it. No more of those hard hand exercises.
Does anyone hear ever write music?
Does anyone sing hear? I sing in my church choir. And I sing a lot every where. When I'm working, playing and thinking.

I like to sing and sing a lot but this does not mean I'm good at singing. Basically, even though I have lessons I just pick a song and learn it. I have one book with hand exercises but they are not hard I just pretty much have to see how fast I can get them.

I'm trying to get my parents to let me take Bagpipes lessons, but they willnae let me until I get a better grade in my online summer school math class. Rats!  >:( >:( >:(

My brother wants bagpipe lessons. I don't think I would do very well with a wind instrument, sometimes I get light-headed.

I LOVE MUSIC!!!!!!
Right now my favorite music group is Celtic Woman. If you haven't heard them, go to YouTube and listen to the NOW!!!! You won't regret it. :)
I've played Piano since I was 6 (so 11 years) and LOVE IT! I've also played clarinet for 7ish years.
I like singing, too, but I'm not as good at it!
Living in peace, aye many a season,
Calm in life and sound in reason,,
'Til evil arrives, a wicked horde,
Driving a warrior to pick up his sword,
The challenger rings then, straight and fair,
Justice is with us, beware. Beware!

Alrghties then, probs my turn!

I LOVE music. I just love it. My favourite musicians are Coldplay (but I don't like their new single), Bon Iver, Ben Howard, The Beatles, Jack Johnson, Angus and Julia Stone, Mumford and Sons, Fleet Foxes, Bob Dylan, the list just goes on and on! From that list I think you can tell I love acoustic folk kind of music, but I believe there is good music in any genre (except for maybe Norweigan Death Metal). I play guitar, I'm about to teach myself harmonica and I attempt to sing. I sing wherever I go, but only quietly to myself. I'll start busking soon once I learn some more full songs. So yeah!

I like music, as you can tell by my name.
I listen to country. Yes sad. But it's very catchy.

Ah, music. I love music! I can't play an instrument, unfortunately. I love to sing, but I have no talent whatsoever and I only sing when I'm by myself or when I'm teaching my students an English song. ;) I love all kinds of music, my favourite "style", if you can call it that, is musical theatre. It's so varied I'm not sure you can really call it a style. I guess I like any kind of music where the vocalist can really show off their skills.

@Daniel: I've only heard one Angus and Julia Stone song, About a Boy. I like it, it has a nice mellow feel.

Yay for music!

Country's my favorite; I really don't listen to much else. I'm pleased right now because one of my favorite radio stations, whose tower was destroyed in a storm a couple months ago, finally boosted the signal strength of their new tower so I can hear them again.

The concerts I've been to are Sara Evans (back in 2004) and Love and Theft (last year... Got to go backstage and get a picture with them and have them autograph a picture and my CD because it was my birthday!)

My Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D soundtrack finally came in the mail today; I'm loving it. <3

The instruments I play are:
Piano - thirteen years... took lessons until high school when my teacher had a baby and stopped giving lessons... I just play for fun now, I buy music books for movies, or print out anime/video game sheet music fans online had written.
Recorder - Eleven years, taught myself from a book, never really play it except for a recorder ensemble we once did in high school
Flute - Nine years, just play for fun since graduating from high school, and I play at church with other youth about three times a year
Piccolo -Four years, still play it at the annual labor day parade

About a boy? I think you mean "Just a Boy", or maybe "And the Boys". Was it Angus or Julia singing? If it was Angus it was "Just a Boy", if it was Julia then "And the Boys".
What concerts have you been to? I've gone to a Jack Johnson concert. He is awesome live!

Haha, it was Just a Boy. Thanks!

I haven't been to many concerts, I'm more of a musical theatre girl myself. I went to a Matchbox 20 concert a few years ago... that's about it!

I like 60's music, I often joke to myself that I must be the only person in my class to have the Beatles and classical music on my ipod!

@Lily, I quite like Matchbox 20.
