Which Book do you think would be a good starter for someone new to the series?

It was pretty good, but not my favorite.

Yeah, I know, but for someone who's never read a Redwall book it's probably the best since it's not terribly violent (except for the Ungatt Trunn parts )

long patrol is a distant sequel to redwall. It goes redwall,mattimeo,pearls of lutra, long patrol, and more according to the website

I would start with Mariel, but that's only because that is the one I started with, and fell in love with the series by the second chapter. Taggerung is my favorite, but Mariel is much better to start out with.

(By the way, Fireboy and Watergirl is a pretty awesome game.)
