... Amazon raised their shipping prices.

The bookdepository.co.uk or bookdepository.com have free worldwide shipping and usually cheaper prices too. I've been using them for a little while since the local bookstores are completely hopeless at getting anything that isn't a "best seller" (no sign of last two Redwall books or any new Star Wars books in at least three years thanks to the clsoure of Dymocks and the buy-out of Borders).  :(

I just ask my family to get me the books for my birthday and Christmas, and usually they find some somewhere. ::)

I'm not a great fan of the sihouette style (I don't think any of my Redwall books are in that style), but it was released a couple of years ago. They have changed it again since then with the release of The Rogue Crew and The Sable Quean to this style with a slightly embossed "Redwall" logo at the top.

I have it in hardback.

Third up. I usually prefer paperbacks because they're cheaper, but when that one first came out, I actually had a job, so I splurged for the Hardback.

I just got mine off ebay, not caring what they looked like
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Our family had Redwall, Mattimeo, and Mossflower for years. I didn't read any of them until 6 years back, and immediately loved 'em. I've kept my eyes out for the books at second hand stores, yard sales, and even library cast aways. Now I have nearly the entire series :,)

We don't have many only the first four (publication order), but I bought another copy of Redwall that has Brian Jacques signature. It was a pretty good deal and it's the first U.S. edition.

Oh, yeah...I looked and looked for one particular version of The Long Patrol, just becuase of the cover. I think the English covers are the cool ones.

Hmm... All my Redwall books are US Ace Fantasy paperbacks, all the same size. Well read and well loved. Though, I do have an awesom Rakkety Tam hardback, and a Triss Hardback. I also have all the books in the series but the last three.

Revive.

So, I've just noticed that two of my Redwall books, Redwall, Mattimeo, and Mossflower, have covers I don't see very often. Here they are. . .

Can't get the picture to work for Mattimeo, but it's on the Redwall Wiki and is easily seen as with similar art to these.

Those are the original US paperbacks; I have a (rather ratty) copy of Redwall around here somewhere in that style. My copy of Mossflower might've been that way too, but I don't remember; the cover was in awful shape the last time I saw it, anyway, and I'm not sure whether any of the front cover remains.

I like that style of cover myself; I wouldn't have had any objection to seeing it continued. Apparently that artist stopped doing them, though, after Mattimeo; the next book's US paperback cover was the infamous "Gabool with Gun" cover. That said, the new covers for Redwall and Mossflower that they made after those were even better, so I guess it worked out in the long run.

I wish I owned the series. Unfortunately, I've only read them from a library, but I'd love to have a whole set. The Redwall that they have there is the twentieth anniversary cover.
