I'm not sure if I have a favorite, but a strong contender would be Heroscape.

I've never even heard of Apples to Apples, but technically things like Pictionary and Yahtzee aren't a real "board game" since there's no game board.  :)

Actually, Pictionary DOES have a board!  I played it... last week?  No, I think it was the week before.  Anyway, the version I played, at least, had a board.  Lol, the team I was on had made it halfway around the board before the other team even made it a quarter of the way.  :P  They kept getting 'all play' and 'difficult' cards.  ;D

I have a tie between Settlers of Catan and Pandemic. Has anyone heard of them? They're definitely worth checking out.

What I consider real board games, I like chess, checkers, scattegories, pictionary, and monopoly.  Heh, all strategy games...
I love Strategy Games! Like Chess, Go Business, Agricola, Monopoly, Risk.

I've so heard of Catan! But the problem is that it's really expensive. I also heard of Pandemic.

My fav board game is probably Clue or Risk, or Monopoly.

Really? I've never played it, but it always looked like you just drew silly pictures on a pad (or these days a computer screen or iPad). I haven't ever seen them using any type of board for it.

This is the one I have:

It has a board so that you can know who's winning, and you roll the dice every time you guess what the person's drawing.  The different spaces have different categories, and the one that my team usually got was the 'difficult' category.  :P

And as for Clue, I call it Cluedo as well.  ;D  No one really understands what I want to play when I call it Cluedo, but I still do.  It's so much more fun to say than Clue!

Thanks for the Pictionary picture. Hmmm .. it looks a little like it was a rip-off of Trivial Pursuit (or vice versa, depending on which came first).

Yep, those who call it "Clue" obviously have no clue.  ;)  There's also a planned "Clue" movie, among a few other movies "based on" board games (which means they'll end up barely recognisable, like the so-called "Battleship" movie).

Redwaller

Actually the one I have is called Clue. Maybe it's Clue in French.  :P

Redwallfan7

I think a Redwall board game would be awesome.
