I'm not sure weather this should be in Character Desscution but here we go do you think Guinea Pigs should be in Redwall  ;D I think yes

Shadowed One

No, they don't seem like the kind of animal that would be in the series. I mean, Triss had a hamster, but that was only one book.
Martin the Warrior is way more epic than Mickey Mouse. Anyone who says otherwise is insane, or just wrong.

Not really in keeping with the British animals, though I guess like with the hamster and wolverine, one could suddenly appear, come from another land.

I didn't just make that up, did I? There is a wolverine baddie in one book, right? :p

True, Gulo the Savage came from very far away.

But I wouldn't see Guinea Pigs in Redwall.

Tam and Martin

Well, Guinea Pigs are kinda like Hamsters and there was one of those in Redwall.

Well considering there were no guinea pigs in Redwall, this isn't fit for character discussion.  As for seeing a guinea pig, I don't see why I would WANT to see a guinea pig.  Guinea pigs are domesticated beasts, whereas the animals of Redwall are wild (in more ways than one) and are not to have had human contact.  It would disrupt the flow of the stories had one been brought up.

Guinea pigs are innocent and stupid, so no Redwall for them!

rachel25

Excuss me I have two guinea pigs and they are not stupid  >:(

Hamsters are domestic creatures

While there is one hamster in a story, its not a common occurrence across all the books.  I don't think Mr. Jacques intended to write about domesticated rodents in Redwall.

Guinea pigs and hamsters are wild creatures in South America (from memory), they're also farmed for food. Mice are domesticated too, as is the occasional squirrel.

The guinea pigs they eat are not like the ones we have. This is a Guinea pig to eat:
