Actually, I could imagine Gabool, Ublaz, and Vizka with flintlock pistols, but no others.

They don't quite seem to work for Redwall, though :P

Uhhhh... you do realize in old medevail battles the casualties were usually in the hundreds or very low thousands. Trench warfare: Thirty to eighty thousand. Over weeks. In WW1, many many lives were lost. Most likely more than in any previous war, though don't quote me on that.
