The cure for happiness and the antidote for the poison look entirely different, I'd be able to tell if you had the antidote.  Anyway, even if you had the antidote, the antidote will just delay the effects for eternity or until the poisoner decides to stop the delay.  The only way to actually cure yourself is to fulfill a certain condition for the poisoner, in this case help in the fight against the mods.
