I was obsessed with Bionicles when I was younger. They were the neatest things! I'd always have adventures with them and saved up my money to buy the new ones. I had a Lego magazine subscription and would get the comic books with them. I would spend hours building my own models and having journeys across the house. I watched the movie, Mask of Light over and over until I had it memorized. My friends would come over and we'd disappear for a full day and run around with them outside or in the pool. I actually still have them all in a bin in my basement, and they're all still intact from their completion many years ago.
Yeah, Bionicles were the best...

Hero Factory is weird. I mean, in the TV series (and there is one) they talk about heroes who have "died". How can a robot die?!!! ???

I'm not embarrassed to admit I was absolutely obsessed when I was younger (as well as Lego in general).

I have a pretty insane lego collection, though I stopped buying them years ago - in hindsight it is quite a waste of money as well as plastic/oil! :P

Regarding bionicle specifically, I have all the original characters, books (these were pretty decent children's story books tbh), comics, large mask collection (including many rare ones - mask of time, and so on). The story/lore was definitely special, despite the whole cultural naming issue and lawsuit.

Sort of lost interest during the whole mask of life story - thought things became pretty stale and repetitive, even more so than other times.
Last thing I bought was the remake of Lewa where they're all flying in the air after Matoro dies. My favourite character overall has to be Matoro.

But the initial idea for the fiction was great.

I even played that first point and click mata nui adventure game on their website, where you played as Takua.

Excuse the formatting, typing on phone.
My ears, how are you, wot!

Emperor Ublaz

There's a website where you can play and download all the bionicle games ever created. I was just on there playing "Piraka Attack".
:-X
