Shadowed One

Aster felt the hare let go of his footpaw. With the last of his strength, he pulled himself up the ledge and onto the wall top while the trident barely missed his leg.

Her trident got stuck in the rock. She had a hard time pulling it out b/c she only had one paw to do it.

"You're a lucky beast", the hare said through gritted teeth.

She stood their below him, waiting for him to take his next move.

Shadowed One

Aster was safe for the moment, but his weapons were on the ground below him. He decided to go along the wall and possibly see if there was something he could use as a weapon until he got his back.

"Youch!" Aldar let go of his daggar in pain, letting go of the otter as well. He just had time to position himself so he didn't break every bone in his body before he crashed down onto the ground.

He slowly brought himself up. He had survived the fall, but had broken his left ankle in the process. He suddenly realized that he had let go of his daggar. THNNK!

"Aaugh..." He cried out in pain as the blade finished it's descent...straight into his broken ankle! Gritting his teeth so he didn't cry out in pain he yanked the daggar out as quickly as he could. Curse that seadog! he thought angrily. If she had just stayed put for just a moment longer, he would have won and she'd be dead, her skull crushed into the stadium's ground.

But no, he thought. She had to go and mess the whole thing up! Groggily from the intense pain his thoughts went back to a conversation around a campfire that his companions and him at one point had had about beasts getting into an intense rage, or as some called it "the bloodwrath". He had not payed much attention to it at the time, but he remembered one of them saying that some beasts could become so filled with rage that they could keep fighting even through severe injuries. Afterwards they usually ended up dead, but for a brief amount of time they could resist the call of death. Suddenly his mind clicked back to the present. That was it!

His mind let the pain wash over him. Through him. He concentrated on his hatred for the otter, how much he wanted to see her dead. He stood up. The otter cowered in fear. He raised his shortsword. He then brought it down for a killing blow...

Suddenly he was concious again. The first thing he felt was an extreme headache that made him stop for a moment. After the pain dulled down some to a small throb he opened his eyes. The first thing that he noticed was that he was face-down on the ground. He slowly picked himself up, picking up his shortsword andd daggar that had fallen beside him. Was the otter dead? he thought. Had he succeeded in killing her? He looked around, trying to find her.

OOC: Zae bazically 'e 'it 'is 'ead and blacked oot for a moment.
NARDOLE; You are completely out of your mind!
DOCTOR: How is that news to anyone?

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.

OOC clever  ;)
BIC Jukmin had taken the precious moments that the Pine-Marten was unconscious to rub and click her footpaw back in place.
Stay down you fool just a little longer.
Click.
Jukmin sighed as her footpaw clicked back into place. Now to get that mangy Pine-marten.

Shadowed One

Aster saw her looking at the pine marten, with her back turned to him. Leaping from the wall, he landed on top of her and grabbed her sabre.

Juking swore and drew her dagger. She stabbed hard at the other otters unprotected chest, and in the same movement pulled her spear out of his grasp. Junk in stood up shakily. that was close. He almost had me

Shadowed One

Aster dodged to one side, at the same time taking the dagger from her grip. He quickly backed out of range of her spear.

"Understood." Will looked at Nico. "Will you be my buddy?"
"You're a dork," Nico announced.

The Shade

Sandfire was still climbing, and finally he reached the ledge which he had been heading for. Pulling himself up, he quickly dodged to the side, under an overhanging vine. He could see his target, the beaver, and tryed to make as little noise as possible. Checking his weapons, he began walking toward the beaver.

Camden saw his chance. The hare had stuck her Trident in the wall. He tried to move as silently as possible. He gripped his ham-axe and swung at her leg hard.
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

OOC: My "lag" lol. :D

BIC: Mucroni-manum felt air on her leg and swung her sword hand down behind her just in time to block the blow, the axe was strong and it broke the kopis in half. Pulling her trident lose she swung it around at her unseen enemy.

Yeah, typo fail.  :D

Camden was surprised at the speedy retaliation by the hare. The sword blow numbed his paws, and the trident shaft cracked into his jaw. He crumpled to the ground, but grabbed his ham-axe and swung again.

Aster turned and ran down an alleyway, hoping to find more weapons as a single dagger wouldn't help him much. It was better than nothing, though.

OOC I have a small javelin not a spear but oh well.
BIC Jukmin raced after the other otter. Her breathing ragged and her pace fast.
That little pain in the rudder will pay for that.
