Unfortunately he's right even though Outcast is supposed to be chronologically before Mariel, Brian made a mistake. It would not make sense for Outcast to come after Mariel because of Mellus instead of Bella and many other reasons. I had not realised the continuity errors that this subject consists of
"In the meantime, no one should roam the camp alone. Use the buddy system."
"Understood." Will looked at Nico. "Will you be my buddy?"
"You're a dork," Nico announced.

One word. Belltower. The belltower was complete in Outcast, right?

Was it? Did it ever mention the bell being rung?

I just finished rereading Outcast, and Abbess Meriam says that someday Redwall will have a belltower. Which obviously means they didn't have one right then. So BJ didn't make a mistake.

Correct Jukka. I looked through that book and found no belltower, just that quote.
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.
