The following is a conversation between book characters:

Delevar: So, you're a Mandalorian?
Breaker Skirata: Yes, and you'd better behave, or it won't be me smacking you upside the head, it'll be Ordo.
D: Just how many clones are there here?
##:1046: I lost count. And nearly all of them are married with kids.
D Are you?
##:1046: I was. She was killed. That's what this color is for. [taps the streaks of gray on his shoulders and gauntlets.]
D: You mean the colors actually symbolize things?
##:1046: Yes.
D Then what does the gold and the black mean?
##:1046: Black means justice. Gold is for vengeance. In other words, the chakaar who killed her will learn pretty quickly that it's a bad idea to make an enemy of a Mandalorian.
