But where did you get it from?

I have James' email. So I went and bothered him.

Oh great, I found me in the attachments...
Better then it being hosted elsewhere I guess.

You did post it up here; it's not like I stalked you and got that picture. ;) If you want me to take it down, though, I will.

Nice favicon, James!

Wait, what's a favicon?

The little icon that shows up when you're using a website. It's typically in the address field of your browser window.

Response to the shoutbox's demise:
Fair enough :)

I just wanted to issue a small warning here.

When I google "Redwall Abbey Forum" (which is how I found this place in the first place) the forum is no longer a first result. It's not even on the first page, unfortunately.

This may make it more difficult to attract new members.

On a side note, if you google "Redwall Abbey Forum XYZ" , then the forum appears in the results.

I'm not sure if we can change what searches bring up the forum, but it's worth looking into, for the sake of attracting new members.

You have to search for "Loamhedge Forum" or "Loamhedge Abbey Forum."

Although it didn't do well when I left town Friday, checking it on my phone right now with Google (with StartPage to a avoid personalized results), Bing, and DuckDuckGo, it does appear on the first page, performing quite competitively in some cases. It's also first page on Dogpile, albeit barely (last on the list).

This is something I'm monitoring carefully, though, with the recent transition from the old server.

According to this search I just did, Loamhedge isn't up there when you search for "Redwall Abbey Forum"

Well, I have pictures of other search results where it comes in pretty high:

It even shows up well on Bing (and now Google), looking at it in incognito mode. I didn't make up this stuff about it polling well.  ;)

Anyway, I think the problem here isn't because we've suddenly lost all of our value to search engines (we had been on the first page consistently for a while), but more because of the server move. I expect things will return to normal after time has passed and Google & company have had time to get used to the new address.
