I love Mossflower. It is definitely one of my favorite Redwall books. At the moment I'm re-reading through the entire Redwall series and Mossflower is the next book I plan to read.

-Sometime later, the second mate was unexpectedly rescued by the subplot, which had been trailing a bit behind the boat (and the plot). The whole story moved along.
