Thanks for the great contributions, everyone! Especially Winifred. Thank you- your suggestion opened up a whole new line of thought for me, since I had been stuck with a certain idea.
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight!

Another thing you can try is to delete the last few lines of the story and do them differently, since they might be getting you stuck somehow. I know that sounds funny, but it works.

Yea, I do that sometimes if I get a new idea for later on in the story that doesn't fit in with the last few sentences written.

Life is too short to rush through it.

I think a good way to avoid writer's block is to plan out the whole story you want to right. You don't need to get every little detail down at once, but just plan the main plot before writing. That should help you allot.
I think that might stop the writer's block, but for me that makes actually writing the story no fun - you already know the entire plot!
When I get stuck, I just start a new story.  :D

Well, isn't that what you want? It won't be as much fun writting it than reading it anyway-because you'll always be (and have to be) in control of what happens in the story. ;)

No, I actually don't like to know the entire plot until I'm done with it.  :D  A lot of the time I might know an event or two, but I don't like to have the entire thing laid out.

Glad it helped!!!!!! ;D

Same with me. I never plan it all out, for my limited patience it's too time consuming. I'd rather be accomplishing things out on paper.

I'm that kinda person that can't move forward rapidly, I go back and rewrite a lot and move forward bit by bit. :)

Mouseguard
Ranger's Apprentice
Lord of the Rings
The Chronicles of Narnia
The Book Thief

Same here :-\

What I do is plan it all out, than start to write it, than I think about it so much I get tired of it and don't want to write it :P  DON'T follow my example!
