Anpan shook her head. "You still need it, Reina." Turning away, she thought for a moment, and then turned back. "The Flitchaye, huh? Sounds fun!"

[Cornflower MM]

"Okay, let';s do it!" Russina happily said, giving them a big grin.

[Jukka the Sling]

Reina nodded her thanks at Anpan. She knew she still needed the sword, but it had seemed impolite not to at least offer to give it back. "Yeah, let's go now! Oh, wait." She realized she was hungry, and gave her friends a rueful look. "Er, any ideas for breakfast?"

"Well, we have one pack!" Russina said brightly, then got the pack (She forgot whose it was) from the tree, where she'd stashed it.

[BlueRose]

Anpan smiled. "If there aren't enough supplies in the pack, I can smell a stream nearby. Fishing is my specialty."

[Cornflower MM]

Russina look in the pack, and groaned. "Well, I'm correcting myself! We have on empty pack with a hole in the bottom!" She said semi-brightly as her paw emerged from the bottom of the haversack.

Reina sighed. "Guess I'll forage a bit and see what I can find. You guys could forage too... or fish," she added, glancing at Anpan. She got to her footpaws and set off into the woods, hoping to find something good, like mushrooms or berries.

Anpan grinned and bounded towards the stream. Looking into it, she gave a snicker that would-have-been-Gollum-like-if-she-knew-about-Gollum-but-that-wasn't-the-case-so-it-wasn't. "Fish."

Russina started scouting around, and soojn found dandelions, some berries, and a few good mushrooms. She fed a little bit of the mushrooms to a bug to make surethey weren't poisonous, and the bug didn't die, so she figured they weren't.
After that, she headed to the creek, where she found some watercress, and using the sack, netted watershrimp. It wasn't easy, though, and she returned to the makeshift camp dripping, but grinning.

After trekking through the woods for several minutes, the ferretmaid encountered a clump of berry bushes. As she didn't really have anything to put them in, she tore off a clean bit of her tunic to make a pocket of sorts. She filled it to the brim, then turned around and spotted a dead tree. Reina headed over to it and was rewarded by the sight of several large fungi growing on its half-rotted trunk. She recognized them as non-poisonous, so she pulled three of them off and then headed back to camp with her finds.

Russina spotted Reina walking towards their camp, and stood up and ran over. "Reina! What'd you find?" She asked enthusiastically, forgetting for a moment she was dripping wet. Literally.

"Berries and some big mushroom things," Reina said, looking at the soaking-wet squirrelmaid curiously. "What happened to you?"

After sliding silently into the water, Anpan came up with three medium small fish. "I got fishies!"

"I got berries, mushrooms (Don't worry. I fed a small piece of each to a bug. The bug still lives.), dandelions, watercress, and watershrimp. I fell in while I was netting the shrimp." Russina said, then giggled. Then she noticed Anpan had fish. "Ooh, fish! Hey, I've got an idea! Reina, could you get me a piece of bark big enough for those fish to lay, side by side, with a little extra room? And Anpan, could you prepare those fish?" She asked, grabbed one of her arrows, and using a rock, began chopping the watercress a bit, since it was really long. Then she started cutting the mushroomsd and dandelions, issuing order. "When you two are done with that, I'm going to need a fire, and two forked sticks."

"Got it," Reina said, and went back into the woods a ways. She soon found a piece of bark large enough for the fish, and returned to camp. "Here y'go," she said, handing it to Russina. "I'll make the fire." She gathered some twigs and dry moss, and struck one of her knives on a piece of flint to create a spark. Pretty soon she had a small fire going.
