But Reina was more intrigued by the fact that Anpan had mentioned tracks by the stream. "Uh, maybe she wants to eat it while she inspects the tracks? Y'know, I'm gonna go look at 'em too. I want to see if there's anybeast else in the area." So saying, the ferretmaid walked off after Anpan, also holding her fish.

"Hey, why's everyone taking their fish for a walk?" Russina asked, having not tasted her fish yet. She took a bite, and then got up and started walking after her companions, also holding her fish.

Anpan had quietly 'dropped' her fish in the stream, and then inspected the tracks. Turns out, they were hers. "Oops."
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

Reina arrived at the stream at that moment, munching on her fish. She saw the tracks right away, and knelt and inspected them. Then she stood up, giving Anpan an odd glance. "Um... I think these are actually your tracks, Anpan." She said this as politely as she could.

Russina walked up just in time to hear Reina say something. "What?" She asked, edging towards the stream.

Anpan looked sheepishly at Reina. "Yeah, I noticed... I think I might be a bit woozy...."

Russina took another bite of her fish, and shuddered. Then she leaned over, and dropped it in. "Um. Reina? If you don't want you fish, then give it to the stream." She said, grabbing a dock leaf and wiping her tongue.

Russina continued wiping her tongue energetically, then paused mid-swipe. "Hrey Anpah? Wayooh's yarl fis?" She asked, then removed the dock leaf and tried again. "Hey, Anpan? Where's your fish?"

"Er... my fish is alright," Reina said in reply to Russina. In fact, now that she thought about it, it did have a slightly odd flavor. She inconspicuously dropped it into the stream and wiped her paws on a leaf. "Er, come to think of it, I'm not terribly hungry after all," the ferretmaid said, just in case the others had seen her. She was holding a few berries that she'd taken from the stash back at camp, and she popped them in her mouth. "I'll, uh, just survive on berries," she muttered.

"Absolutely!" Russina sid, then giggled. "All our fish seem to have fallen prey to the stream!" She managed to choke out, pointing to where all three fish could be clearly seen, stuck on a tree branch.

Anpan laughed, and then dove into the stream, coming up minutes later with a tunic-full of shrimp. "There are lots today!"
