[Jukka the Sling]

"Oh, I see now," Reina said, feeling a little foolish. She sat down with her back against a tree and crossed her legs. "How long until they're ready?"

[Cornflower MM]

Russina wasn't listening to the conversation anymore, and was busy counting leaves. "four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten....."

[BlueRose]

"Not long. Shrimp are small and easily cooked." Anpan looked up at Russina. "What are you counting?"

[Jukka the Sling]

"Good, 'cause I'm actually pretty hungry," Reina said to Anpan. She looked up at Russina as well, curious as to what she was doing.

[Cornflower MM]

"The leaves. Nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two....." She continued.

[BlueRose]

"Why?" Anpan pulled the string of shrimp away from the fire and started laying the shrimp out on a large, fragrant piece of bark that seemingly came from nowhere. "Here you go! Eat up!"

[Cornflower MM]

"Just because. Thirty, thirty-one, thirty-two..." The squirrelmaid continued, flipping so that she had her head up again. She got some shrimp, and started eating, still counting.

Reina reached out and grabbed a pawful of shrimp, leaned back, and popped one in her mouth. She'd never had shrimp before, and they tasted delicious.

[Cornflower MM]

"Forty, forty-two. Wait, no, that's not right. Darn it! I lost count!" Russina wailed, then she popped a shrimp into her mouth.

[BlueRose]

Anpan laughed, and crunched down on her own shrimp, only it was more of a squish than a crunch, as the shrimp was raw.

[Jukka the Sling]

Reina finished her pawful of shrimp, licked her lips, and sighed contentedly. "That was delicious!"

[Cornflower MM]

"Yeah, it was!" Russina said happily, then started counting leaves again.

[BlueRose]

Anpan shrugged. "Shrimp isn't hard to cook."

[Cornflower MM]

"SSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH!" Russian shushed, then went back to counting.

[Jukka the Sling]

After sitting quietly for a few more minutes idly watching her friends, Reina remembered that they actually had a plan for what they intended to do next. "So, are we gonna go attack the Flitchaye?" Sounds really weird when you say it like that, she thought a split second afterward.
