"Russina!" Reina exclaimed, even more alarmed now. She rushed over and tried to help her up.

Anpan strolled over to Russina and crouched next to her. Grabbing a random stick, she poked her friend gently.
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

Bitterly jittery, and not very glittery.

A mouse was floating in front of Russina, telling her to go through the trees. Or die. How morbid. She thought, then she was poked with a stick. She yelped, and shot upright. "Hey!" She said semi-crossly.

Relieved, the ferretmaid stepped back. As she did, she glanced around to see if any Flitchaye had happened to sneak up on them while they weren't paying attention. Yes, she was paranoid.

Anpan giggled. "That worked! Didn't think it would."

"You know, a mouse was telling me something!" She snapped, glaring at the two.

Jukka the Sling

"A mouse told you something? Huh?" Reina asked, completely mystified.

"Um, yeah! Oh, and by the way, I don't go by the trees, I'll die. Not sure about you two - I was woken up before that part." Russina said, crossin her paws.

Reina didn't exactly know what to say to this, but she was wondering if perhaps her friend was insane or something. A mouse appeared to her? Seriously? And anyway, the ferretmaid was pretty sure going into the trees was a bad idea. After all, the Flitchaye were in there somewhere.

"Believe me or don't." Russina declared, still a bit cheesed.

Jukka the Sling

"Okay...um...yeah. I believe you," Reina answered, although she was still a little skeptical.

Anpan grinned. A mouse was strange. Trees, she could deal with. "Trees sound good! Let's do it." Now that she thought about it, she remembered something about mice from a story her father used to tell. "Hey, isn't there a mouse guardian who watches over the Abbey?"

Russina raised an eyebrow at Reina, and then turned to Anpan. "Now that you mention it, i believe there is!" She said, quite happily.

Jukka the Sling

"Assuming he's the same mouse, why'd he bother to appear to you if he just watches over the Abbey?" Reina inquired, beginning to believe the squirrel, but still a little skeptical.

Anpan started bouncing up and down excitedly. "That's just it! He doesn't just guard the Abbey. He takes care of people from the Abbey." She calmed down a bit. "There are lots of legends about him. I don't know the whole of it. Well, obviously. I'm not from the Abbey." Grinning, the ottermaid started through the trees. "Let's do this!"
