Ymog looked down from the temple, it was about two hundred yard east of the docks. Even though fog covered the waters he saw lights glimmering from a few little boats bringing the new students. A smile crossed his little chipmunk cheeks as the first new student stepped on the island. He felt the power rush across the island into the temple "Yes..."

Zwelly

The mouse looked down at the bottom of his robe, mud covered around the legs. It wasn't all that noticeable because the rob itself was black, a fairly nice contrast to his white fur. Grabbing the lantern he stepped off the boat and onto the island. Power rushed from him and into the land below, it felt so unnatural... but it felt so good. Zwelly started to walk up the path, stone steps lay before him. They were cold as parts touched through the holes in his shoes. After the first few steps he noticed more students were standing around the path, just watching him as he progressed towards what seemed to be some old building. At the building was several pedestals and a balcony above. On the balcony was what he assumed the leader of the island.

Lucia stepped off the boat, taking a deep breath as she placed her footpaw on the stone ground.  Cold, but that was alright with her.  It wasn't like it was any different than her previous home.  But no, she wouldn't think of her life again.  She'd gotten a mysterious letter to come here, and she was so thankful to be able to go.  Anything to be away from her family!

Clutching a leather-bound book close to her heart, the she-marten made her way up the path to stand beside a white mouse who looked several seasons older than her.  "I'm Lucia," she said quietly, managing a small smile as she glanced up at him.  Why did she have to be so short?  "Lucia Warren.  How are you?"  How are you?  Was that a good question to ask other beasts?  How was she supposed to know?

Screet
Screet watched as a marten and a mouse walked up the stone steps, then ran up next to them, feeling very jumpy. " hi, I'm Screet." he said them, stepping from one foot to the other nervously. He wasn't used to speaking to other beasts, as they mostly avoided him and called him a failure.

Zwelly

The mouse looked into the eyes of the beast next to him, her eyes... they were shining with the moonlight. She murmured something, but he was caught in a trance, which was odd since she looked about 7 seasons younger than himself.

"Lucia Warren.  How are you?" Did she repeat what she already said? Was this different then what was said previously? "Zwelly, son of Ocktesh. Uh..." he tried not to be noticed as unease as he felt.  "hi, I'm Screet." another new beast interrupted the two, he parted his eyes from hers and looked at the new guy. He quickly left the two of them and stood on one of the pedestals, which odd enough had his name on it.

OOC: Shadefur, you know why you are here. You're here to learn, its like a school but for the more than advanced students.

OOC: sorry, I got a little confused there.
Screet got even more nervous when he noticed that one of the sands had his name on it. He noticed the mouse stepping onto one that said Zwelly, that's what he had just called himself, he thought. Maybe I should do what he's doing, thought Screet, as he walked up and stepped onto the pedestal with his name on it. As he stepped on it, energy seemed to rush out from him, making him even more nervous.

Lucia, watching the other two beasts, followed their lead and stepped up to her own pedestal.  It felt weird as she stepped on it, but she couldn't figure out why.  She leaned over to the mouse, Zwelly, and asked quietly, "Where're you from?"  Was that a better question?  Hopefully.

Grace Wenesra stepped off the boat on to the docks she was so excited she wasn't sure what to expect but she knew it would be good. She watched some of the other new students walk up the path and climb on to some pedestals. She decided to go and join them. She climbed the steps and as she got closer she saw that there were names written on the pedestals. She was a little surprised to see her name on one of them next to a mouse standing on a pedestal with the name Zwelly written on it. She went over and sat the edge of her pedestal saying. " Hi. Your Zwelly? I'm Grace, Grace Wenesra,"  The mouse had wight fur a lot like her own but unlike her he had pink eyes. Grace pushed off the hood of her cloak and began slowly rubbing the black streak of fur on her forehead. It was an old habit of hers.
I am back... sort of... maybe... Hi?

Zwelly

The other beast were looking at them, as if they were prey. He felt confident that he could protect himself, but they were mainly looking at the young girl next to him. And the other that just took the pedestal to his right. Turning to his right he replied "I'm from Carcasadone, how about you?" and then he quickly turned his head to the left "Nice to meet you Grace, and yes I am" he smiled, but it quickly faded into embarrassment as he recognized the answers went to the wrong ladies. He quickly looked straight forward "What an idiot!" he thought to himself, he wasn't all that comfortable around the ladies. He usually kept to himself and his studies.

OOC: I'm not gonna wait for the other two, (redwallgurl and danflurubuguba) as they can just come on a different night. Its pretty common for new students to come, especially with the "High drop out" rate (mwuahaha lol).

PS: Before your next post please PM me with one of your character's fears. You'll see why in a moment.

BIC:
Ymog looked down at the four, he felt their power. It was little, but it still made him smile. Walking down the balcony the chipmunk looked at all the new students, closely. He came next to four tables, each covered with cloth. "Zwelly, you are a coward... But we will fix that. There is one fear you have which, must be dealt with immediately." before he was done speaking a student came from the crowd and grabbed the mouse by the back of his head and the right shoulder, pushing him towards a table.

Trying to resist Zwelly attempted to pull away, the grip was to strong. Once at the table his head was placed just above the cloth. "it's time..." Ymog murmured while pulling off the cloth, reveling a tub with a dark liquid inside. The large student shoved Zwelly's head into it, holding him under the liquid till the mouse almost drowned. This happened three times, each with only with a few in between seconds to catch his breath. After the last dunk Zwelly fell to the floor, his head covered in thick, red blood, it stained his white fur as it slowly ran down his neck. He lay next to the table, shaking while trying to wipe it off his eyes. Ymog walk to the next table and looked at one of the three students remaining.

OOC: If you haven't made your first post, then you can post just walking up and standing on your pedestal. don't forget to PM me with one of your character's fears though :)

Screet stepped back off of the pedestal a few steps and became alert when the strange chipmunk and a student nearly drowned the mouse. He was about to do something when they released the mouse." hey! W-what are you doing!" he yelled, but he started to regret it, because he didn't like the way the crowd of students were looking at them, and how swiftly they had detained the mouse.

Zyog pointed at Screet, "step forward!" not even giving him a chance, another student came from behind and forced him towards one of the tables. Instead of shoving his face down the beast just held Screet's hands behind his back. Quickly he pulled off the cloth, but nothing happened. A very slight hissing sound came from a box which was formerly covered by the cloth, and a large cobra slithered up from inside it, looking him in the eye.

Grace Jumped up alarmed. She thought about running over there and giving that chipmunk a piece of her mind. But she kept her mouth shut afraid of what was under the table waiting for her.

Screet began struggling wildly, biting, scratching, kicking and head butting at the other student, but he soon stopped when the hypnotizing eyes of the cobra met his. He went completely limp with fear, whimpering slightly. How did they know his worst fear, how!  He thought, it's going to kill me, going to kill me, gonna kill me, gonna kill me! he screamed in his mind. No, this can't end now, he thought, making himself look away from the snakes eyes and at the floor, his head hung in resolution. I won't give in to these jerks, he thought. He hated bullies, and he had a lot of experience with them. Just don't look at its eyes he thought.

"Ah..." Zyog said while looking at the cobra and his new student "This students is something which everyone must be afraid of.." the chipmunk spoke aloud "Only a fool would think otherwise." The cobra was ready to bite, but before it turned and faced Zyog, striking for his face. Just an inch before its fangs drove into the puffy cheeks of the chipmunk a purple gap opened and the snake disappeared into it. It was the most illusive and strangest thing any of the students have seen. "Return to your pedestal." He murmured, then walked over to the next table. "Weakling, step up. Your fear will prevent you from your desire to help others..." Zyog didn't point or look at either of the remaining students... But the one he spoke of would surely come forth.

Shadefur nightblade

Screet pulled out of the other student's now loose grip. He walked back over to his pedestal and stood there, though he wasn't quite sure how he was still alive. He was just glad to be away from the snake. He watched the proceedings nervously now.

Faiyloe

Grace stood there for a long time she new he was talking to her but she also knew that nothing he did could make her fear go away. Finally she stepped forward teeth clenched in resolution. Thinking as she did so are you crazy
