Why would it matter if there are more males than females?  I'd almost guess that a majority would be male just because of the book and who it was meant for.  Mr. Jacques clearly wasn't writing for a strong female audience.

Oh, I don't think so. Mr. Jacques did have a lot more male main characters than female ones, but that is probably because it's harder for a man to write from a female's perspective.
And who cares how many males and females there are? We are still friends. The mods would probably lock this topic if it caused us to argue.
