OOC: Say it out loud, Skarzs. Stuffing his head with leaves!

The Skarzs

OOC: Nope. Still not working. :P
I'm such a terrible person.
@Nor: Yeah.

BIC: Argunath jolted awake. He sat up quickly, but immediately regretted this impulsive action, lowering himself back down. His head throbbed with pain and his neck ached; thankfully it felt they had stopped bleeding. He opened his eyes, seeing the faces of Willow and Rosemary. Turning his head slowly, he also saw Bryant chuckling about something.
Keeping his expression serious and his voice deadpan, he inquired of the squirrel, "Aren't you supposed to be going on a journey or something?"
A bit odd that those was the first words out of his mouth as soon as regaining consciousness from his wounds, but he did not wish to be the cause of further delay.

"Who, me?" Bryant asked, then said, "No, Bryony's the one going with Willow and Aggril. Speaking of him, where IS Aggril?"

The Skarzs

Argunath grunted and covered his eyes with his tail; it was a wonder it had never been cut off in all his battles. The cougar grit his teeth and sat up slowly.
"Abbess, may I make a request?"

"Of course. But you are not leaving this Abbey until you've rid yourseklf of the idea of you're being a monster, which is untrue." Rosemary said, glaring at the tail which was covering the cat's eyes.

The Skarzs

The cat moved his tail aside, looking seriously at the abbess. "My request is that I may have some food. I have not eaten for a very long time." He smiled weakly.
"I will admit I am not a monster when I prove I am not. Also, though I respect your authority and order that I stay until I say I am not a monster, I doubt anybeast would have the ability to stop me if were to leave."

"Of course you may have some food! Bryant, if you're recovered....??" Rosemary said, looking at Bryant, who obligingly picked himself up and started walking away. "It won't get here quite as fast as Willow's things, but it won't be long." He called, now trotting. Rosemary then looked at Argunath again. "I'm sure I could use my sling accurately." She said threateningly. "You WILL stay here."

The Skarzs

"Good luck with that," he mumbled. He had no real intention of leaving; indeed, how could he? He could barely sit, let alone stand and walk. He knew the abbess had only the best intentions in mind, but what if he lost control again? It would indeed be a tragic day for all.
"Thank you, for your help." He said quietly. He moved his paw to his empty scabbard. "And may somebeast retrieve my sword? I believe it's stuck in a tree, back there." He furrowed his brows. "There was one more cat back there; gave him a chance to flee. Have you seen him?"

Willow smiled as Argunath revived. He stood up silently and yanked the sword free of the yew tree.
"Aye, here you go." He said, as he solemnly handed him his sword.
"So, are you staying?" He said, in a lower voice.
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

Bryant walked leasurely up, carrying trasy with food on on them on each paw, balancing them perfectly. "One for the big cat, and one for me, which I will gladly share." He said, setting one of them down. It had scones,  with meadowcream and a small selection of jams and jellies on the side, some nut farls, a bowl of vegetable soup, and a large slice of cake. With a knife, fork, and spoon, of course. "Hope you like it, mate." He said, then at down and started eating from his tray, which had similar fare, except his veggie soup had a large selection of diced nuts in it.

The Skarzs

Argunath took the falcate easily from Willow's paws and stuck it in the ground beside him. His face twitched in silent pain as he twisted to get his food. "Thank you, squirrel." He sipped the soup straight from the bowl, as the spoon was much too small for his paw. "This is very good; thank you. And to answer your question, Willow: Yes, I am staying. Circumstances require me to stay, and others do not permit me to leave." He propped himself up against the wall. Taking a scone, he bit into it, purring contentedly.
He stopped himself suddenly; it was slightly embarrassing for others to see him purr, as it was peculiar in a cat of his size. "Alright, you three. If any of you, mention to any beast that I purr. . ." He shook his gauntlet at them.

"All cats purr, don't they?" Bryant asked, looking at Argunath quizzically. He took another sip of his soup, stowed a a particularly hard and stubborn nut in his cheek, and said, "Oh, by the way, my name's Bryant, not squirrel. And I most certainly not tell anyone that you purr, even though it seems that that would be a natural thing for all cats to do." He then started crunching his nut.

Willow got up and walked over to Bryony. "So, when do we plan to leave?"

Bryony shrugged, "Whenever you're ready, I'm ready."

The Skarzs

OOC: Not all cats purr; the cougar is the largest cat to be able to do so. :P

BIC: The cougar, satisfied they would not tell of it, ate the rest of his meal in silence, enjoying the good food and watching the others. "Bryony and Bryant, eh?" he said quietly. His siblings had names similar; brothers and sisters far, far away. A sudden bit of homesickness leaked into his heart, then was gone and replaced with his constant grave manner.
He could never go back to those high mountains, with their coldly refreshing wind, hills of green covered in tall trees, and air with the feeling as if it had never been touched by a living thing before.
Far away.
His goal was to go back one day, but whether alive or in spirit he knew not. But first. . .
He tried to get up to help the travelers be on their way, using his sword for support and wobbling uncertainly from his wounds. He stepped slowly forward. "Is there anything I can do?"
