Wildcat Attack!

Bryony growled, not convinced, then said, "Before you started insulting me, I was asking if you wanted to come with me to Redwall Abbey. Oh, and just so you know, Grain and Grinda are leaders of a cat horde, and they're set on getting Redwall. So it would be safer for you not to come with me, but then there's also numerous vermin gangs wandering around Mossflower, and Redwall's never been held by vermin for more than two days." She said, all  on two breaths.

Hey, I apologized didn't I? he frowned I could draw you something to make it up to you if you're still mad. That reminds me, can I have my book back? It's kinda precious and by "kinda" he meant too precious for words but she didn't need to know that

Bryony hadn't realized she still had the cat's book, and blushed. "Sorry. Here's the book back." She said, then tossed it quite lightly over to him. "So, do you want to come with me or not? Because I'm supposed to catch up with a few of my mates before morning, and Redwall's not exactly what you would call close."

David caught the notebook and hung it on a hook on his belt Redwall Abbey sounds like a place where a cat doesn't need to sleep with one eye open, lead the way- uh, you didn't tell me your name He scratched his head, how had this squirrel managed to get him to say his name without telling him her's first? Usually Dave didn't tell ANYONE his name but he'd told this squirrel with no second thoughts, why had he done that? Idiot

OOC: First off, that grinning caterpillar in your sig is very....Off-putting, Jet. In a good way, though. Second, no, she'd not given back the book.

BIC: "Alright then. Come on. Oh, and the name's Bryony." She said, then she checked to make sure Yassen was still with her.

Arguanth lifted himself off the stairs, and began to walk around the abbey building.

OOC: I don't really know what to do with him right now.

Oh yeah, you didn't say anything about that wildcat, who's he? Also he probably has no idea what I just said after saying that David pulled out his notebook, not anticipating a need to talk again, and flipped back to the page he had been drawing on earlier, adding features, a nose and whiskers, a smirking mouth before finally moving onto the eyes, they were smaller than average eyes and, from the looks of the drawing, they were slightly sunken in. Those eyes, he drew them every day, he remembered them and their owner vividly, even if three seasons had passed since he last saw them

Six seasons ago
"Nice one li'l man!"  the large cat smirked "you almost got me that time" the younger cat grimaced and swung his katana upwards, but the other had already moved, he was now standing on the other side of the circular arena. The young cat sprinted forward and slashed sideways but the older cat caught it with his own blade and pushed back. The young cat stumbled back and the older swung his katana down, the younger cat met it with his own blade and dug his feet into the ground. The older cat twisted his wrist hard and the younger cat's blade flew out of his hands and landed quivering upright in the ground. The older cat smirked and sheathed his sword "Better luck next time, eh?" the younger cat sighed dejectedly
"You always say that but I never do"
"Hey, don't worry about it, you're improvin', that's what matters"
"But you're so good! You're impossible to beat and you're so fast!"
The older frowned "If I'd expected you to beat me first time I'd have never asked you to pick up a blade. I was just as bad as you when I was your age, hell I was worse than you, but when you're livin' where we are you gotta learn quick 'cause if you don't you die quick"
"It was a mistake to catch your sword like that"
The older cat gave a genuine smile "Makin' mistakes ain't bad, it's parta life, the important thing is that you learn from 'em and move on, you got that Dave?" The younger cat nodded. The older cat lifted Dave onto his shoulders "Right, let's get outta here, think you've earned a ride home"

OOC: Hey, Corn. Maybe Argunath could open the gate for Bryony and Yassen?

OOC: Look. She did give his book back.

She asked, then without waiting for an answer, she said, "Oh, and no, I'm afraid I don't sign. Well, I can, but it's not understandable. But just because I can't sign doesn't mean I don't know how to read it, or whatever you call it." She lightly tossed him his book back.

BIC:
Kaylan looked the two squirrels over while Arya was talking to them. She didn't recall seeing them before, but the Abbey was a big place, and she'd only gotten to meet a relatively small number of creatures so far.

OOC: GAH!!! Oh well.....@Skarzs: Sure!!

BIC: Bryony said, "He's going to the Abbey also." She said, looking back at Dave. "What's that?" She asked curiously, stepping a small step towards him.

He hastily stowed the sketchbook back on his belt None of your business he signed with a growl Has he told you his name? he asked, nodding at the wildcat, trying to change the subject

OOC: Maybe there were two books.  BIC:

Yassen glanced at Bryony, irate. "Can we just get to Redwall, and either take him or leave him? I'm wasting away here."

Willow was tired, and eager to rest. He sat down next to Aggril, who was attempting to build a fire.
"So, do we sleep here?" He said.

Aggril struck his flint and steel, and some sparks landed on the tinder. Blowing gently, he breathed the fire into light.
"Yes; but we'll take turns keeping watch. No tellin' what else is out there, and we could make sure Bryony makes it back."
