"Solarflare then showed Ritton a smile. Well you have now. You must also know that this Abbey gates are alway open for you as long as you follow the rules for as long as you wish even til the day you die."

Ritton shook her head. "That does sound nice, but once my injury's are reasonably healed I must be on my way."

" May I ask way. Do you plan on going back to the Wildcats."

[Cornflower MM]

Poppy was coming back from the Kitchens and heard Ritton say, "That does sound nice, but once my injury's are reasonably healed I must be on my way." She walked over, and asked, "Why ever do you think Sister Ann would let you go off into the sunset while your injuries are still unhealed? At least, not all the way healed. It's preposterous!" She said firmly.

Ritton's expression grew a little more serious. "I will not be joining any other Wildcats. I will be wandering, that is what my life has been till now. I enjoy travelling, it helps me make my maps." Ritton looked shocked as yet another beast joined the small group that was already in the room. "It may sound preposterous, but that is my choice." Ritton stated flatly. "I don't wish to be unkind to the beasts here at Redwall, but I must be going as soon as possible."

" Your not being unkind Ritton. Don't you see some of us really care about you. But if you must go one day that is up to you."

Ritton turned back to face Solarflare with a bit of surprise on her face. "Why would you care about me? I'm a wounded vermin found outside, why would you even think to care about me?"

" Solarflare went into a more serious mode which was rare. If we didn't care about you we wouldn't have let you in this Abbey. We thought you were a rare type one that lived a evil life but them opened his/ or her eyes to see the peaceful live that you could live."

[Cornflower MM]

"Oh, we don't know, maybe because A) You're nice, B) You mean us no harm, and C) It's actually quite healthy for some of us to be reminded that not all vermin are mean, cruel, and mean harm." Poppy said, tapping the floor with her rudder as she listed each point.

Ritton breathed deeply to suppress the anger that threatened to overcome her. She stalked off, but stopped at the doorway and said in a quiet voice. "I once did have a peaceful life, one without killing and travelling. I even had my little garden, but I made the mistake of thinking that a vermin's life could have peace. No vermin can ever have peace in their life, and that includes me. Then Ritton walked out of the room to go outside and get some fresh air.

"Solarflare then turned to Poppy. Do you ever think that Ritton will come around. If only Martin would touch her like he has done with many in the past."

"I have no idea. But, Solarflare, talking won't help. Let's leave her alone. It's fopr the best." Poppy said sadly, then turned and walked out also, but instead went to find Sister Ann, and found her sleeping in the Orchard. Poppy smiled at teh sight of the Sister, who was quite pretty sleeping, and tip toed out of the Orchard, shooing some Dibbuns out with her.

"Solarflare then looked into the eyes of Martin and said. Please friend only you can save Ritton show her the way. After that Solarflare collapsed and was over come by a blackout."

Ritton hobbled to the west wall steps and sat moodily down on them. Why can't these beasts understand?! They are so ignorant of the lives of vermin, i even tried to make a peaceful life! And look where that landed me! Right back where vermin belong, killing and wandering, that's where.. Ritton slammed her paw hard onto the steps, I've got to get out of here as soon as possible! Before I end up killing these good beasts.
