Time to show a little love to the sidekicks of Redwall!  ;D

Sorry it's so long, but there are just SO many good sidekick characters! (though I may trim the fat later)

You can choose up to five, count 'em, five of your favorite sidekicks!

Gonff the Mousethief

I chose basil, dinny, russa, Egbert and...

GONFF!!!
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

WildDoogyPlumm

Doogy (of course  ;D), Nimbalo, Shogg, Gonff, and Clary!
"Guid warriors cannae rest 'til those dirty slayers are paid out in steel for their crimes, ye ken?" - Doogy

The Shade

Gonff and Dinny are like, the ultimate sidekicks. Doogy wasn't bad either.
They told me I was gullible. I believed them.

It is well known that 47% of statistics are made up on the spot.

I used to leave out half my sentances, but now I

i am that is (Matthias)

I chose Basil stag hare. I didnt realize i could choose 5. Oh well

I did three: Gonff, Skarlath, and Wild Doogy Plum. Those are, by far, the best sidekicks!

Life is too short to rush through it.

Osu

There are eight hares listed but I can only pick five! WHY MUST YOU BREAK MY HEART SO? ;_;
Redwall is always open, its tables laden, to you and any of good heart.

Aw, I sympathise with your cause of grief. ;D

Sable

The Long Patrol was a pretty good book for sidekick characters. Russa Nodrey and Midge Manycoats both stood out. I think Russa's death was one of the saddest in the whole series.

I also liked Skarlath. His love of food (and cheese) was bizarre and endearing.
And this world's a fickle measure
I will painfully remind you
I'm a wise man to your red hand
You lay covered in our best sins
Three hits to the heart, love
And it's poetry in motion

SAME! HIGH FIVE! Though I also voted Dwink and Russa alongside that.

Basil
Nuthin' beats the original!

Gnoff
He was just so fun.

Skalrag
Showed up early & often, was very helpful, and one the few good characters whose death I mourned

Nimbarlo
He and Tagg/Denya played off each other really well. Plus, he was actually more interesting than his hero!

Diggs
He and Buck made a great odd couple

Lutra

Only picked two: Basil and Gonff.

By the way, they spelled Gonff wrong on the poll/  ;D

I'll admit, that's how I used to spell his name. ;D
