Vatra just shook he head in reply to Arya's words. She dragged her self over to a tree where she curled up in a hollow in the roots and cried a torrent of tears and memory's. The fight they had in the snow over a snow castle, ruining away, Ervoyce coming after her, Convincing her to come back, the races and games in the snow, and then the pond, Fighting vermin together and the way he would get her mad just to get her out of danger.   And for the first time in her life she considered suicide. In reality Vatra was very fragile and the thought that Ervoyce was gone not dead but gone was to much. She got up and taking her javelin she started into the woods but this time there was no rage in her heart just sorrow.
I am back... sort of... maybe... Hi?

Ushen looked up as Vatra walked away, "Where's she going?"

"Alright.." Arya said, then drew in a deep breath.
"The invasion began in the middle of winter, and I and a foreigner were in charge of the defenes. Well, the first attack was mounted in the daylight, and I got wounded with a broken rib or two from from falling onto the hard sandstone after getting shot by an arrow. Zanga found me, and carried me down the steps and to the Infirmary. Vatra was there also, and we made friends there, after I caused a fuss about not doing anything, and finally got some arrow making things. The second attack came after night fall, and they came over the walltops with gliders..One landed in the Infirmary, and I fought him and won with arrows...Then I paced, watching the battle on the walltops. When I couldn't take it anymore, I was shooting arrows from the window...But they out numbered us. I got everyone out, and went to report to Ervoyce, who had told me it was time to get them out. I was fighting with a dagger, streaming blood, and every move hurt...Well, after that, it's a bit of a blur. Ervoyce stayed behind to do something...Vatra was roaming around as I cam off the walltops, and was hiding in a pile of snow. I saw her and charged her...She stopped me, and then I fainted. We got out, and then that's basically it, besides we fact we found Zanga, and he nearly died....That was the worst night ever. D'you know, when we were haunting the Abbey tonight, one of the vermin ran out after Bryant scared him, screaming that he was scared of me, 'The squirrelmaid who wouldn't die.' " Arya said, concluding the tale, and sighed.
She saw Vatra wlked into the woods, with a stance that she recognized. Someone she'd used to know really close had walked that way, right before killing himself. "Oh, no! Vatra! VATRA!! Don't do it!" She screamed, flying up. "I'm sorry, Ushen..I've got to stop her from...From.." SDhe called over her shoulder, running after her.

Ushen saw that something bad was going to happen, and he ran after Arya, "What's she doing! Arya, wait!"

Cornflower MM

"Going to Redwall!" She screeched. She knew Vatra, and she probably wouldn't kill herself by outright suicide, but this? Totally possible.

OOC: And where, pray, is Ervoyce during all this?

Vatra broke in to a trot and then a run. The rain was subsiding but it didn't matter she was already soaked threw. She ran and ran farther away from that place. Her heart beating in her chest, her feet pounding the ground and every other sound seemed soft and far away.

OOC: He is under a tree crying.
I am back... sort of... maybe... Hi?

"Ok then!" Ushen shouted back, and ran faster to catch up.

Vatra stopped she saw something threw the trees She took a few steps closer. It was Ervoyce, She must have gone the wrong way.
I am back... sort of... maybe... Hi?

Ervoyce had regained some control, but their was still the occasional, dribbling tear. Using the wooden structure behind him as a brace, he stood slowly, as the physical pain was making it's presence known slightly. Upon looking up he spotted Vatra's battered form. Looking down and off to the side slightly, he spoke just loud enough for her to hear, "Please.. Could you... Help me.... Just for a moment."

Vatra looked at him she could tell that he had been crying. She nodded silently and then went over to help him. She wanted to tell him how sorry she was but no words came.

Ushen came running up behind them. breathing hard, he watched to see what would happen.

Ervoyce continued to look farther down..... Until Vatra got just close enough. The moment she was in range he lunged at her..... and hugged her. Eyes shut tight, body shaking, he tried to support himself as much as he could, but he still relied heavily on Vatra to stay upright. He tried not to squeeze so hard as to cause injury, but he hugged his friend hard. Unusually hard pressed to find words to speak, he forced out what he could, "Vatra.?.... I... I need to say something."

Vatra stood in shock and a flood of new emotions came tumbling threw. She hugged him back like she would never let go. and perhaps he was squishing her a little but she did not care "What?" She whispered.
I am back... sort of... maybe... Hi?

Ervoyce just couldn't find the words to say, rocking silently, he simply let the slight drizzle and mutual feeling heal his heart. In so doing he realized that the words he needed were located there. After exhuming what he needed he spoke slowly, and with a gentle passion, "The largest of growths comes from the worst of failures, this one I've shared in just as much as anybeast. Vatra, I've been searching, I know not what for, but I've been searching for it for a long time. So long in fact that I never even knew I was searching for whatever it was. When I got back here, to Brockhall, after the haunting, I'd thought I'd found it, and I let an argument destroy what I'd found... Vatra I've been a fool! I may have found some of what I was looking for, but yet I've been missing an even more important piece, one that's been in front of me screaming my name since I arrived. Vatra.... I've been overlooking you... All this time I've been too stupid to realize that it wasn't me helping you, quite the opposite, you've been helping me! You've shown me things I never could have dreamed of, you made what I found not too long ago....... Vatra............. All this time........ I've been searching for you."

Ervoyce couldn't continue, he had been losing his voice since the half point of his statement. His boldness was also depleted, but he tried to force out something else, "Vatra I....... I..."... He couldn't do it. He buried his face in her shoulder, hoping to high heaven that she understood him.

Vatra held him close she could no longer stay standing and she sunk to the ground still in his arms. She began to cry but this time they where tears of joy. "I feel the same... " Was all she could get out.
