Well, I suppose they could have met in a bar, but that's too cliche. Maybe Vicky sold Drengar his ship? Perhaps it was something she got for a birthday, and then sold it to Drengar because she didn't want it, and now sometimes they meet up for tea or something.

Heh. . . I was thinking something like he had gotten Vicky's father angry by flying right into his building one time. Then he had come into Vicky's acquaintance, which was how he was introduced into the rebelling idea.
