OOC: Not yet. Oh, and Monka, Bryony and some of the good guys haven't boarded yet.
BIC:

After the slaves had boarded the ship (including a mouse and fox that showed up), Mycroft stood onshore and called to the shrews, otters and Abbeybeasts, "C'mon! Everybeast get aboard!"

Mirelle had been helping some of the weaker slaves onto the ship, and now she stood on the deck, tired out and wondering where Skip was at the moment. After standing there for a little while, she became aware of the fact that the sky was growing lighter. Dawn had arrived.

Monka sat still as a statue, staring out to sea where the sun was rising. It was a deep red colour, and it sent streaks of crimson out across the sky. It was truly, beautiful, but there was also something barbaric about the colour.
Monka seemed to snap out of the trance he was in, and wiped his tears away. Then he stood up, and began walking toward the sea. Then he saw in the sea, and still walking, he was quickly up to his waist, and still walking forward. Not even seeming to notice that the cold water was climbing higher, and higher up his body.

Marshall watched as dawn arrived. He looked out at the isle. It was a nice place, but sadly, it had been corrupted by evil. He turned back and saw the Skipper and the rest heading for the ship. He got ready to help then aboard.

Bryony was right behind Monka, and was worried about him. They would have to have a talk, she decided.

rachel25

Monka was still walking, he was almost up to his neck, and he didn't look like he was about to stop.

Cornflower MM

Bryony know she had to take some action, before she herself was drowned. Monka was taller than her. She called, "Monka! Stop! Please."

Monka heard it seemed from miles away, through the haze, and confusion in that filled his mind. He was momentarily pulled out the trance he'd fallen into. He turned to look at Bryony, but then he must have come to some sort of ledge under the water, cus he slipped, and fell.
Monka couldn't breath, water filled his mouth, he had fallen into some kind of trench, and he couldn't swim. Suddenly Monka didn't want to die, he didn't want to end his life, he tried desperately to grab hold of something, but couldn't get a grip on anything.

Bryony screamed. Then dove, searching frantically. Soon she saw him, and swam closer, holding out her paw.

rachel25

Monka saw Bryony, but couldn't reach her, he was still going down. He had no idea what was making him so heavy, to make him sink like tis, but he was sinking, and fast.
Monka tried to shout at Bryony, to tell her to leave him, or she would drown. But you can't shout under water.

Cornflower MM

Bryony went and got some air, then swam back down, hunting franyically. This time she got close enough, she hoped.

rachel25

Monka could see Bryony was in reach, but was terrified that if he got hold her, he would drag her down. So he didn't grab for her paw, he just tried to grab at the rocks again.

OOC: This might be a good time for Skipper to come to the rescue.  ;)

It was at this point, something grabbed Bryony ' s collar. She fought, but whoever it was didn't let go, and she was handed to a different otter, crying, shaking, and screaming. Skip went back down and started cutting the kelp that had gone unnoticed around Monka ' s footpaws.

Mycroft had his back to the water, or he would have noticed what was happening. As it was, he was standing there trying to get the woodlanders to board the ship. There wasn't any point in sticking around much longer; they'd rescued the slaves and he was anxious to get back to Redwall as soon as possible. But at the same time he wondered where Cien was. He really didn't think the Abbey Warrior could be all bad; though he'd had quite a temper, he'd always been kind to the Abbeybeasts and was a good friend of Fern's. Mycroft had kept an eye out for the otter while on the island, but hadn't seen him; the shrews who had found him earlier had moved his body to one of the buildings. (OOC: Is that okay? He's dead, so...)

Although the hare didn't notice what was happening with Monka and Bryony, Mirelle did. She stared for only a moment, then dove off the side of the ship and swam for the squirrels as fast as she could. The salt water stung her back, but she gritted her teeth and kept swimming. However, Skipper got there before her, so she tread water and stayed out of the way, watching anxiously.

Marshall noticed something happening in the water, but thought they were fighting again. He set down his axe and felt the bandage in his tail stub. He tore off a bit if his tunic and rewrapped it. He could not wait to get back to Redwall.

Monka was slipping into unconsciousness. Everything was going black. He could feel a presence near to him, but his sight was blurring. Then he was.
