I like them all. The only problem I have with the first one is the inability to set the stances of the troops, and the innovations with troop movement and formations that they had in II probably makes it my favorite. III is really good, but they added some mechanics that weren't that great. II is pretty good, actually, it's probably my favorite. But you can't beat the sounds and music of I.

I remember getting so gassed up when I first reached Iron Age. I had one phalanx and couldnt make any more villagers but he was soloing the AI cavalry for a good ten minutes!

When I play, I am usually laid back and won't really do any military action until I have some upgrades in

Just got AoE 2 HD Edition, not completely sure I like it, but I might warm up to it
