Vera sighed. "Alright Jubilee no more beating around the bush, if you want to come then you can."

Sticking her tongue out, Jubi winked roguishly at Vera. "Knew you'd figure it out. Thanks."
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

Vera was about to come back with a joking remark but she stopped when she noticed the two dibbuns, Perkins and Mary, making their way towards the orchard.

"Look mates there goes trouble. Isn't it right around bath time?" She said pointing to the miscreants with a grin upon her face.

Zzzzzzzthunk! Randoll's arrow hit his target with accuracy. The apple he hit fell to the ground with a thud, still impaled on the mouse's arrow. As he bent to retrieve his weapon, he saw two dibbuns headed his direction. Being the kind of mouse he was, he ignored them and continued his practicing.

Diana was finished scrubbing the dibbuns and she lined them all up to inspect them. If she saw one speck of dirt back in the tubs they went. As she looked down the line she noticed that the rascal Perkins and the little squirrel maid Mary were missing. She looked up at the ceiling and sighed. The two of those dibbuns where the most troublesome and it wasn't unusually for her to have to go looking for them at least once a day. Picking up her skirts she hurried out of the room and down the hall to the front doors of the main abbey building. When she stepped outside she blinked against the sunlight.

Jubilee shrugged, the charms on her ear-chain clinging melodically. She hadn't bothered with the dibbuns' bathtime since she was a kit, and only remembered disliking it.

Mother Abbess Graywing Brownfur was strolling around the walltops, listening to the bird song, and the gentle breeze moving through the tree tops. She smiled to herself; It was a nice day, and it had been peaceful for seasons. She noticed some Dibbuns heading towards the Orchard, and sighed. Wasn't it bath time? She started down to head them off, shaking her head.

Shwock! Yet another apple fell, impaled by Randoll's arrow. In fact, the apple fell right in front of the two dibbuns escaping their bath time. Randoll wondered if he ought to pick another area of the orchard to practice in.

Perkins and Mary stood in awe of Randoll.

Mary smiled sweetly at the archer. "Mista Randoll could ya get some fwuit for usin's?"

***********
Diana's eyes adjusted to the sunglight and she scanned the grounds. Ah ha the little scamps have gone off to the orchards. She thundered over to the fruit trees ready to fight to get the two back into the abbey for their bath. It was never easy with them.

***********
Vera trotted down the stairs and headed towards the orchards calling up to her friends, "Come on mates might as well lend a hand. I can see Diana making her way to the dibbuns. We can cut off their escape route."

Randoll shrugged and shot down two more apples in quick succession. After retrieving his arrows, he handed the dibbuns each an apple. "There. Now, I suggest, if you don't wish to be caught and bathed, that you go hide under the bougainvillea." He had noticed Jubilee there earlier, and remembered that it was a fairly good hiding spot.

Graywing was now entering the Orchard, and heard Randoll tell the little ones to hide under the bougainvillea. "Tut, tut, Randoll!" She said jokingly. "Mary, Perkins, I suggest you eat your apples quick! Hurry now, Diana's coming." She said, then winked.

"Thankee Mista Randoll." Perkins giggled and then looked over to Mary, "Hee hee come on Mawy."

The dibbuns where about to run under the bush but then Abbess Graywing was standing blocking their way. As she said that Diana was closing in on them they whipped their heads around and gasped in horror. Runnning around her skirts they pleaded with her..

"Pleaze Abbess donna let Diana take us and give usin's a bwath!"

**************
Diana was under the canopy of fruit trees and she looked all around, but the Perkins and Mary had disappeared. She spotted Randoll and the Abbess. She tromped over to them.

"Have you seen Perkins and Mary, Abbess? They came this way but now they've disappeared."

OOC: I made an oopsie.

BIC: Jubilee walked sedately down the wallsteps and into the orchard, nodding a slight greeting to the Abbess before cuffing Randoll for giving away her previous hiding place, having heard much of the previous conversation.

Vera had made it to the orchard and she saw the dibbuns hiding behind Abbess Graywing's skirt. She slid in and stood joining the group.

OOC: We are getting so mixed up because I had to change my post now that Graywing is in the orchard XD So to be clear the dibbuns are hiding not in the bush but behind the abbess' skirt and now all of us are in the orchard.
