The Percy Jackson series...

I tried to get into that, but I didn't feel like reading about annoying twelve-year-olds who go on an impossible journey with fake gods. I read the first two and just got bored :-\

*sigh* Sometimes I don't have enough of an imagination to appreciate such things, sorry

Fake gods is not a very good turn of phrase, false gods is better as gods can not be fake. A god is, by definition, a being that is worshipped by some kind of following this being said fake gods can not exist.

False gods on the other hand means that you personally do not believe in them

The Skarzs

I think the term "Mythical" would be a better used word here.

I would disagree on the topic of emotions, logic most definitely has its place, but so does emotion. They are equally valuable. Too much emotion and you become an overcompassionate idiot, too little, and you run the risk of being a Vulcan/robot.

Perhaps but one could argue that all gods are mythical as there is no proof of their existence. I don't understand why if it isn't worshiped any more then it's a myth but if it's still worshiped it's a religion. Why aren't the Greek gods or the Egyptian gods or the Aztec gods considered a religion? There is the possibility that one of those is the 'true' religion actually, actual is a better word to use here, it is equally possible that one of those ancient religions is the actual religion

'Better used' doesn't necessarily mean 'best used'.

@JEt: I was going to suggest The Bartimaeus Trilogy, too! And Percy Jackson....And The Inkworl Trilogy..We read a lot of the sma ebooks! Oh, here's something that you guys should read:
Not gonna tell you what it is - You're going to have to look! >:D
TWILIGHT SERIES!!!! They're by Stephe/anie Meyer. Here's some pictures of the covers:
Here's the first one, called Twilight.
The second one, called New Moon:
The third, called Eclipse:
?And, the final one, Breaking Dawn: They've got movies, too! Now, while the movies don't follow the storyline at that well, it's followed pretty good.

I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

Emotions are overrated.
Hear, hear!

My line: Logic can solve any problem in the world except girls.
Exactly what I said. To boys, girls are a problem. A BIG problem.

What do you mean by that?
"'Tis the business of small minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death."
-Thomas Paine

"Integrity and firmness is all I can promise; these, be the voyage long or short, shall never forsake me although I may be deserted by all men."
-George Washington

Courage: Not only the willingness to die manfully, but also the determination to live decently.

HOW SO?? Are you saying we're not logical?

Jetthebinturong

I believe what he means is that romantic attraction cannot be dealt with in a logical way

OH, Oh! I love my side of the mountain! My dad used to read that books to us (me , and me fellow siblings) when we went on a long, (give or take a few months) holiday to Canada. He'd read it to us on evenings. That must be about ten years, or so ago now. Wow!

You don't know that saying. It's what you say when you can't think of the right word, or something, and someone tells you it. You say, That's the badger!
