Garth was surprised. "You're going to start explaining some things, I hope?"

Arya didn't really hear Garth, but held her arms out for a hug form the old hermit.

OOC: Um, guys. I was thinking last night, and I don't think I can do this. I just feel constantly afraid that I'll spoil something. You guys were doing great before, and I was enjoying reading it. Sorry, but I can't do this. I'll just go back to reading.

BIC: "Yes?" asked the old mouse, curious as to the squirrel's behavior. Then his eyes opened more, and he asked "Tell me, young one: what was your mother's name?"
Garth stood by awkwardly.

"Russina Brushtail." Arya replied, dropping her arms, pretending that she had been stretching them.

Lumian tapped his chin. "Russina? Where have I heard. . . ?" The mouse whacked himself in the forehead. "That's it! Oh, now I remember you! How is your mother?" Garth flinched as the question was put forth, and he patted Arya's paw.

Arya stopped about to say something, then spoke. "She's dead."

[The Skarzs]

Lumian raised his brows. "Dead? Oh dear. I'm sorry." After a moment of silence, Garth spoke. "Thank you for the food."

[Cornflower MM]

"Yes; Thank you, Lumian. And thank you for fixing up my leg." Arya added, smiling. Although the smile wasn't too convincing. . . . . .

[The Skarzs]

The hermit saw through her smile. "I see you'll be wanting to be left alone. If you need me, I'll be outside." As he went to the door, he stopped and turned back around. "Garth, could you come here a minute?" Garth rose and followed the mouse.
