OOC: Yeah. . . poor girl. Can we try to keep the going a little slow, so that when she comes back she won't have missed too much?

BIC: Garth stepped outside, and Lumian turned around. "I need to ask a favor of you, Garth," the mouse said gruffly. "Have you ever heard of a place called 'Noonvale?'"
Garth shook his head. "Why?"
"I have friends there, old friends who I haven't seen for a long time. It's been seasons since I've journeyed there, and my old bones can't take the stress any more. I'd like you to go there, if you could, and tell Druner, Umsha, and Ingle that old Lumian's alright."

Garth thought for a moment. "How far away is this 'Noonvale', and how would I get there?"
"It's west of here a ways, and a little north. I'll give you a map."
The squirrel was still not certain if he should go. "I'm going to ask Arya if she'll be alright with me leaving."

OOC: I know. I almost want to wait until Corn is back to go any further.

BIC: Arya sighed again, wondering what the two were talking about.

Garth walked back into the house and sat down next to Arya again. After a moment, he spoke. "Old Lumian has a request for me. There's a place called Noonvale a little ways from here, and the mouse wonders if I could make sure some acquaintances of his are still there." He let Arya think about that before he continued.

Arya thought about that for a minute, then said, "Go on."

[The Skarzs]

The squirrel thought about how he should say it. "If I do go, I'll be gone for a week at the most, I think. I. . . owe this to him for helping you, but I don't know how prudent it would be to leave you here. That's why I'm asking you if I should do this." It felt strange to Garth to confide in someone else, but he decided it was time he should.

Suddenly Arya realized that he wanted to go alone. which was the opposite of what she'd thought. "You mean, you want to go alone?"

"I don't want to go alone, but I do want you to be safe, and heal up." Garth braced for the storm to come.
