"Thank you." Arya said gratefully.

The Skarzs

OOC: Just going to PP a bit, seeing as she needs to be taken care of.

BIC: Garth broke the tip off the arrow so he could draw it out without tearing skin. Inspecting the wound, he sighed in relief. "Good; it didn't shatter your bone. Now let me take a look at the other ones. . ." He used strips of his tunic as well as some ivy hanging off a nearby tree for some bandaging, cleaning and dressing Arya's other wounds. Finishing the knot of the bandage on her arm, he smiled briefly. "Better?"

"Much. Thanks, Garth." Arya said, then smiled at him.  "What now?" She asked.

The Skarzs

"Now?" Garth stood, lifting his paw off his side; it dripped with blood. "Now I need to rest." He gritted his teeth as he lowered himself with his back resting on the tree behind him. Opening the hole in his shirt wider, he looked at his wound. "Must've gotten. . . a slash when I. . . fought that one rat; didn't feel it with the. . . adrenaline." He bandaged it himself.

"Garth!" Arya cried, upset/ "You should have tended to yourself first! You're hurt worse. Drink some water." She c.ommanded

The Skarzs

"Grar, don't. . . . tell me what to do. . ." Garth said stubbornly. "I'll drink when I'm done, gah!" He finished tying the wound. "There," he gasped.

"I'll tell you what to do whether or not you like it!" Arya snapped, mad and tired.

The Skarzs

"That doesn't mean I'll do it, does it?" Garth snapped back. After a moment, he rested against the tree again. "I think we should both get some rest," he said. "I'll take first watch and wake you in an hour."

"No. Even if I could sleep after that adrenaline rush, my legs are hurting." Arya said, in a softer voice. She did not add that she was worried about Garth's wound, and blood loss, and wanted to keep an eye on him. But she kept this from her features.

The Skarzs

"What do you mean? 'Ladies first' doesn't apply here. I'm staying up." He fought against sleep, his eyes drooping dangerously.

"Well, you can't make me sleep." Arya said, then sighed. "Garth, I don't mind. Really, your eyes are looking a tad droopy." Then she smiled and started softly singing the song:

"You will find me in Noonvale on the side of a hill
When the summer is peaceful and high
Where streamlets meander, the valley is still
'Neath the blue of a calm, cloudless sky
Look for me at dawn when the earth is asleep
Till each dewdrop is kissed by the day
Neath the rowan and alder a vigil I'll keep
Every moment that you are away.
The earth gently turns as the seasons change slowly
All the flowers and leaves born to wane
Hear my song over the lea like the wind soft and lowly
And come back to Noonvale again. "

Garth's eyes closed slowly, but before he fell asleep, he grinned sleepily, throwing a last remark at Arya. "That's fighting dirty."

Arya just smiled, and looked around. She grimaced, as she stretched a muscle in her neck, and then slowly and carefully shifted position as she reflected over the day's attack, and one memory pricked in her mind.....She'd thought she'd heard one (obviously the leader) say something like, "Take her alive. She must have been the one singing." At the time, she'd brushed it away, but what could that mean?

The Skarzs

OOC: Should we time skip a little bit?

OOC: Sure....Why not? Where to?
