Arya smiled grimly, then she trotted faster over to the crew mebers. "Get out of my way." She muttered to a soldier, shoving him out of her way. Then she marched up to the Captain. "Cap'n. Glad top see you're alive."

The Skarzs

"Likewise, Arya,"said Garan. Karn strode toward the group.
"Squirrel, I suggest you treat my soldiers with more respect. To those who don't know, I am Karn Warcat, commander of a part of the Hammer Warriors. Now that you're all safe, I would like to welcome you to our land, the Barkhills. I understand that this land and many of it's creatures might be as foreign to you as your accent is to us. If you would like, you may come with me and my soldiers to Castle Rakar, where you will be able to stay as long as needed."
Garan scratched his chin with his iron pike-paw. "Well, Karn Warcat, I hope you'll be willin' to answer some questions, as my crew here will most likely have. My question is: what kind o' giant are ye? I know you're a cat, but I've only seen wildcats."
Karn chuckled. "I'm what is known as a cougar; might want to get used to large beasts around here. Any other questions?"

Trillo piped up:
"er, is there anything nice to eat in Castle Rakar? I'm dreadfully famished."
Thinking of food, a horrible thought came to him:
"You don't eat mice do you?"

The Skarzs

"No, we only eat raw frogs." A smile played on Karn's lips as he watched their faces. "A very long time ago, yes, smaller creatures were sometimes eaten; a very, VERY long time ago. We still eat meat, but not that of intelligent creatures. As for the question of 'nice things to eat', I'm pretty sure the cooks will be able to provide a tasty meal. And. . ." he added. ". . . Without meat."
Garan kept his silence; Karn seemed alright, but he decided to still be cautious. "Well, mates, it looks like the best choice we have. I say we go with these Barkhillians. . . er, or however you call yourselves. What do you say?" he asked his companions.

Trillo grinned, "If they've got food I'm all in matey, I haven't eaten since that awful storm started up. Besides, what else could we possibly do? We're trapped here with nothing but sand and a wrecked sail boat."

"Any place is better than this beach, especially if there's food there,"  the stoat remarked. "If I learned anything in my time as an adventurer*, it's that you can't make any progress if your stomach is empty."

Ashtail gazed at the deep, foreboding forest that seemingly stretched on forever. "Is it a long walk to the castle, Karn?"

*Ashtail told the rest of the crew he was an "adventurer", and conveniently forgot to mention he was also with a horde

OOC: Izeroth, please remember that when you are NOT posting as you character, put OOC:. It stands for Out Of Character.

BIC: Arya sniffed at her reprimanding, and raised an eyebrow at this 'cougar's' offer. But she held her tongue.

Karn pointed eastward. "It's a day's march away; but, no hurry. We have plenty of food to share for the journey there. If you will join us, we will all leave shortly. If you do not, my soldiers and I will leave shortly."

OOC: Do we need to vote or something, or should we just go?

The Skarzs

OOC: They can just go, since the majority thought it would be alright. I would have preferred that everyone had their say, but for the continuation of this RP, Gwen is gonna have to deal with it.

BIC: "Well, what are we waiting for?" asked Garan. "Let's get moving, messmates!"

Trillo grinned,
"Aye, aye Cap'n! Lead the way Mr. Warcat!"

As the progression began Trillo looked around wide - eyed at the trees that gave the land its name. He realized his staring had left him a few meters behind, so he hurried back up to the remainder of the crew. As he caught up, he nodded towards the wildcat and his guards leading the way:
"You really think we can trust that 'un mates? I think Karn seems a decent fellow, but look at his guards. Minks and the like. They're vermin, never trust a vermin too easily I say!"

The Skarzs

Garan scratched his whiskers. "Oh, I don't know, mate; give them a chance. I've held my own against vermin and the like, and if something does happen, then we won't be going down without a fight. Besides, there's a ferret and a stoat standing right near you and they haven't been any trouble since we've left Redwall."

Walking through the forest, Ashtail faintly heard Trillo say something about not liking vermin. Though Trillo's statement angered him, the stoat knew better than to face the mouse about it. Getting into a fight with Trillo would just confirm what he had said and probably cause the rest of the group to mistrust Ashtail.  It was better to just act like he hadn't heard Trillo and continue on his way.

Arya sighed, marching almost robotically. "Aye, we'd be going down in a fight, but that's my problem. There's a few too many for us to handle in our present condition." The squirrel voiced her thoughts, scratching her ear.

The Skarzs

Karn had heard most of what was said, but he didn't go into the conversation. Instead, he asked, "What land do you hail from, travelers?"
