Stellan pondered for a moment before coming to a conclusion.
"Mm, yes, that would be."

The crew of the Surf Rider crowded the railing try to get a peek at the vermin death battle.
"What do you lazy sods think your doing." Ivan roared "Get away from that railing and man your posts, I want full combat attire. Ziro can you tell if they've started fighting yet?" The squirrel lookout watched the pirates on the beach.
"Can't tell Cap'n, I don't think their going to fight after all, if they join together it could prove dangerous." Ziro called back from his perch on the lookout spar. The Surf Rider was sailing back and forth a good distance from the shoreline waiting for the other two vessels and keeping a weather eye on the two pirate ships.
"Sail on, we wait for Onoirath's signal to leave, and hope for furs sake it's soon." Ivan called back pulling the tiller around to make another pass.

OOC: Are we going to wait for Wylder or just assume he's sailing with us?

Gorelan flicked his tail to the left, seemingly in annoyance. "Well, it's a pity to see someone so easily offended." A rat on the small rowboat shouldered his rifle, aiming at the distant enemy captain. The rats around him also shouldered theirs and aimed at the crowd challenging Gorelan. All were about to fire, their muskets giving of a glare due to the sun.
"Our Lord and Savior.....The Easter Badger, shall pierce the darkness with his scepter and  guide us through the night...."

Stellan's eyes darted from Gorelan to the rest of his crew, and then to his own crew.
The marten gave them a glare and pointed to the ground, thinking, Duck, you fools!
They seemed to have gotten his message.
He tugged at his tunic's collar.
"Oh, you wouldn't dare, Fox. Tell them to drop their guns; we're not fairly armed!"

Conrad the Painless

(This IS an imaginary world, guns can be used however they are needed, right?)

Gorelan smiled deviously. "Pirates don't need a moral code, I coulld care less about how you're armed currently." He paused for dramatic effect. "What do you think would happen if I killed you right now, do you think your men would avenge you?" Gorelan raised his arm, signaling for his vermin to fire. The fox  was an explosion of white smoke as the rifles fired. Some of the bullets failed to hit their mark, landing in the water as well as in the sand.
"Our Lord and Savior.....The Easter Badger, shall pierce the darkness with his scepter and  guide us through the night...."

Stellan dropped to the ground, eyes wide in shock as he tried to get over what he had just witnessed.
He had never seen anybeast use a gun before, and most surely not against him.
The fox was more powerful.
"Ah, ah, ye killed two of my stoats!" He cried, clenching his fists angrily.
"Yer just a coward, having them shoot from afar like so. C'mere an' fight us without those things, and then let's see how you do!" The pine marten seethed, baring his teeth.
"I'm gonna bite yer head off."

OOC: Not that many, perhaps a dozen at most.

Onoirath heard a loud noise of some sort and gave the order to advance. "Ready your bows!" shouted he and drew his own and gestured for the other ship to advance.

Ivan felt his hackles rise as the sound of thunder wafted across the water, there was several yelps of surprise from his crew.
"High waters an botheration Cap'n, what in the name fur an claw was that!" Shouted one of his crew, Ivan thought quickly, he had heard of the dangerous weapons called muskets, someone had told him they were loud but not that loud.
"Some sort of weapon, an dangerous one at that, can't remember the name." He lied not wanting to panic the crew, "Mayhap the pirates are fighting after all." He muttered to himself.
"Set us towards the starboard and bring us closer I want to see what's going on, Ziro get down from there and stay below the railing." Almost complete silence reigned onboard the vessel as they drew nearer the pirates, they were still a good distance out and Onoirath was slightly closer and moving in.

Gorelan sighed. "If it's your wish, then we shall duel!" He swiped up the sword on the ground, carrying one in each paw, he jumped to his feet. Gorelan turned his head though, when movement caught his eye. The ships moored by Salamandastron were leaving! The riches of the mountain are mine! But....those ships must have valuables on them too! He turned back to the marten. I'll deal this one a stab through the heart first! The pirate fox leaped at the marten and his comrades, swinging his swords wildly. "Come on then, bite my head off!"
"Our Lord and Savior.....The Easter Badger, shall pierce the darkness with his scepter and  guide us through the night...."

Ivan noticed the fallen vermin on the beach, they were truly preparing to fight. He glanced over to Onoirath's ship as they drew closer.
"Comrade," He called to the other captain. "We should leave them to fight it out and sail on, do you wish to fight them?"

"No, but we should see watch them carefully." Responded Onoirath as he gave the order to halt his vessel. He watched the vermin conflict grimly and was ready at any moment to move ahead and stop the vermin from attacking Salamandastron.

Stellan seemed to lose breath and and stumble backwards clutching his side, but it was all in mock-agony; an act to make the opposing pirate believe he had won.
He waited until the slightest distraction in Gorelan's eyes to sidestep and come lunging at him from the back.
"Ya want me to bite yer head off, mate? Alrighty, then!"

OOC: OK, I'm back... Has the Prince Charlie cast off yet? Because, if it has, I'll just assume Jareth got off and went back to the Leah.

OOC: Is the Leah based off of the song; "The River Leah"?
