I hope that this spreads Redwall. It really is a great series and deserves recognition (no matter who gives it)! As they say, any publicity is good publicity!

I would hate to have people taking about every little thing I did. I went to the book store and the next day it's all over the news !!!!SANDPAW PURCHESED REDWALL!!!!!

No matter what your political standpoint may be, that's arguably the most powerful man in the world picking up the first three books of Redwall o.0 pretty cool stuff!

I wonder if this will increase Redwall's sales, sort of like putting an Oprah Winfrey Book Club sticker on the front! Maybe not to the same degree, but now I'm curious

I find it funny how so many people zoomed in on the books, and to our surprise, they found Redwall!! I hope they enjoy them!!

Actually, the White House officially released the entire list. ;)

I hope they like it! I just wish that it would make the books more popular, but I doubt it would.

I wouldn't say that. I mean, the series itself was a HUGE success! Each book was an instant New York Times Bestseller! I think it will bring a small revival to the series though, for certain! Especially with this kind of publicity. I want to look at this optimistically.

I guess you're right, but I just feel like this is not as much as a big deal people make it out to be.

Any time the President does something, it's a "big deal." It doesn't matter how major or minor it is.

If he stopped to tie his shoes in public, that's an instant viral video and 100 news articles.

. . . More of whenever this president in particular.

Anyhow, as much as I don't like the president's influence and stuff, I think that this is really cool for the books I love to be in a place where they might be more noticed.

It probably won't make much a difference in popularity for the Redwall series.

I don't know, I think most people if they do any kind of serious reading know about the series, the thing is it doesn't appeal to most people because it's a very violent and adventure based story and almost a musical. If you ask enough random people if they know what the series is they would most likely say yes but they don't like it.

It's not about an increase in popularity. It's about exposure.

And because the Prez and his fam bought those books, Redwall received a lots of news coverage.

And maybe now, because someone read an article, they bought Redwall for THEIR kids. Or themselves.

And MAYBE at least one person who reads the books grows to love 'em as much as we do.

I don't see how anyone can argue against that being a positive.

I'm not sure about the musical thing. I didn't see too many songs. The ones I did I often skipped because I don't like reading songs without music to go with it.
