Marshall took a large swig of his drink and slammed it down on the table.
"A'ite matey, Wots its like were y' from?"
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

OOC: He's talking to May, right?
BIC:

"Oh, er..." May said, trying to decide how to begin. "I'm from Redwall Abbey. Maybe you've heard of it?"

Lady Ashenwyte

"Ah, Redwall! Been there a bally few times myself as a leveret, jolly good tucker they have there doncha know!" remarked Aethslath as he and Martha began to wolf down the salad.

"Oh, you've been there?" May turned to the hare, a little surprised, but not much. "Perhaps you met my mum then? She's the Abbess Fern."

OOC: Judging from Aeslath's age and how long May's mom has been Abbess (twenty-one seasons; she's 38 now, and became Abbess at 17), Aeslath probably didn't meet her... unless he was, at the very youngest, fourteen at the time. Sorry if I'm making this complicated; I'm just trying to sync the timeline with a previous RP. :P

OOC: Who was the previous Abbess/ Abbot in the RP?

OOC: It wasn't mentioned, I don't think, so just make one up.

"Abbess Fern? The Abbess back then was Abbess Violet, or something, doncha know. I do recall meeting a haremaid at the abbey though."

Mittens The Mousemaid

Mittens, a young redwall mouse-maid with odd black paws, was humming a cheerful song as she gathered up strawberries for a cordial.
"Then, I'll go into the woods for a nice, well deserved picnic." She said as she added the last strawberry to the pile.

As quick as she could, she dashed over to the kitchen, her apron blowing to the side, allowing her to go faster. She swung the door open and grabbed a pestle and mortar. Though others said it was only for grinding herbs, she would always use it to make cordials. She dumped them in and began mashing them together.

As the strawberries turned to liquid, without the leafs in it of course, she poured it into a bottle, popped in two cubes of ice and sealed it shut. She gathered up some candied chestnuts, fruit cake slices and scones with cheese, and put them all in a basket.

Grabbing her cloak, she sneaked out of the abbey and rested under a pear tree and began to nibble on some candied chestnuts while watching leaves lazily float around.
I am Mittens the Mousemaid. I may be a girl but I am NOT weak.

OOC: Hey, welcome to the forum, Mittens! This is your first time, so you probably didn't know, but you have to fill out the sign-up form in the OOC thread and wait to be accepted before joining an RP. :)

"That was probably my mum then," May laughed, a little nervously. She didn't always do well around strangers.

When Marshall replied, she wasn't sure how to respond without offending him. "Oh, er, you think so?"

"Civil? Your jolly place looks far more peaceful than the average vermin horde, doncha know!" remarked Aethslath.

"Well, just watch out for the drunkards. We gotta loc' som' o' them up t' keep is safe!"

By this time, Tailford had gotten onto a makeshift stage, and was about to announce plans for the furture of the tribe.
"Alright every beast! After the wolf attack and incident we had today, me and my Council have thought of the new way for this camp. First off, we will re-build ONLY the houses. The wall we will no longer need, for we in two days, our whole tribe will march to the Rockthrivers camp"

Mixed emotions were felt after these words were said. Some hollered and hooted, by others were in awe.

"We will win this war between us! For the Woodbounds!"

Tailford looked down at the two.
"Well, Rabbit, they are a wolf tribe that our clan has been locked in was with for several decades. Does that answer your silly 'lil question?" asked Tailford in great sarcasm.

May was shocked. War? I think I should leave before I get caught up in this.... But I was planning to help them rebuild, and I don't want to go back on something I said I'd do... The haremaid sat there, feeling undecided. Maybe I should help them, then leave before the attack.
