I really want to make this topic to discuss a thing on my mind since I read Marlfox. Are the noonvale traveling troupe from noonvale, or not? Speculation?

What in the book indicates that they may not be from there?

There really isn't any indication for either side, they never mention the actual place. It might have been ravaged by vermin, though.

According to the Redwall wikia:

After the Battle of Marshank, the Rambling Rosehip Players moved to Noonvale. Later descendants of this group were the Wandering Noonvale Companions Troupe.

Ah. how did they find that information? But it is intriuguing to think that Ballaw and Florian are related.
