The question is, is Bloodwrath based of of Musth?

Do badgers have secretions that are masked by their fur that provokes Bloodwrath?

Musth: the frenzied state of certain male animals, esp. elephants or camels, that is associated with the rutting season. :P

As far as I can tell, the books never say anything about head fur or fur hats. So that wouldn't make sense.

Well, possibly. But if so, it was changed a lot. Cregga RoseEyes had bloodbath, and the Badgers never got to blood wrath when they we're....in love

Badgers and elephants are different,so there must be a different trigger.

I think that the bloodwrath was just a name given to a berserk rage that some of the characters got caught up in while fighting. Maybe he got some influence from musth though??

I feel like he only expanded upon something that has been a known occurrence. For example, Vikings were known for going "berserk" in battle. I myself have gone berserk, lifting a large amount of weight by doing so; it's an adrenaline rush often brought about by rage. It's quite an interesting happening.

Bloodbath??!! Oh NOOO!!! ;D ;D ;D
Dreams, dreams are untapped and writhing. How much more real are dreams than that paltry existence which we now call reality? How shall we ascend to that which humanity is destined? By mastering the dreamworld of course. That is how, my pupils, that is how.
