Mmm, now that I think about it, does that phrase exist in NZ?  When I said "You're sad", I don't mean it literally, as in you're upset over something.

I was not saying you were upset.  Over hear, when one says "You're sad" or "You're so sad" outside of actual sad situations, it usually means something else.  I guess the direct meaning would be "pathetic" but usually the meaning isn't as strong or as serious as the word "pathetic" would usually invoke.  In the way I tend to use it, it could be replaced with "You're such a goof" and mean generally the same thing.

I'm pretty sure one must apply for it at court. Supreme Judge Sebias will decide if said divorce should be issued. (as far as rules go, both parties must want the divorce and there must be a good reason why it is necessary)

But I do agree that divorces are not a good idea. It's too complicated.
