Alarie shrieked and her paws went to the rope she was shoved against the wall and they tried to get her paws behind her back. She kicked and struggled in a panic trying to get free. Gasping as as her struggling made the rope tightened over her windpipe. An electric surge ran over her and the guard that was holding her dropped her with a shout. "Hell gates!" He said as the solider with the spear was shoved into him. He turned on Henrock and went at him with his saber. "Use tha blade no more mista nice guy," he said to his comrade. Alaries paws went to her neck as she tried to free herself of the restraint. Her fur still running over with the electricity. The third guard kept her at polls length and tried to keep her from taking it off without touching her.

Saurrel had been wandering around the outside of the building, stealthily of course, for quite some time, but he hadn't managed to come up with any ideas. He was sitting out back brainstorming when the dull clamor of city life turned into the resounding roar of the commotion inside. Beside almost giving the squirrel a heart attack well before his time, it also helped for the first time since it started way back in the forest. This being because he could actually hear what was going on inside... wherever it was Alarie and her new cellmate were. Some of the sounds were confusing, the clank of a spearhead on stone, but not the clank of it striking the wall, no, this was totally different. Judging by the static sound, this Alarie was indeed magically gifted.... With lightning no less. Now he at least knew there was a chance, slim, but a chance. The two inside were doing well the best he could discern, but they would need a way out... a distraction maybe? If they could get themselves outside, yes, but otherwise, he was about as good as useless. Saurrel sat back down, listening for any opportunity to do anything other than spectate.

The sound of the door bursting open rudely woke Arron. He had finally gotten to sleep on the uncomfortable stone floor. Blinking in the sudden bright torchlight the shrew held up a paw to cover his eyes groaning softly. A single weasel guard
"Get up prisoner." The guard sniffed holding a length of rope. Arron scooted away wide eyed.
"Yer going to hang us, I haven't done anything wrong, please no." The weasel didn't look impressed tapping the sword at his side.
"Stop the whining shrew and don't make this hard on yerself." A sudden shout for rang out.
"I need some help!"
The weasel left Arron closing the cell door behind him and racing down the short hall to the next cell over. Arron leaned against the heavy door peering though the bars watching as a few guards rushed into the room with the other magic creatures. Arron's leaning on the door pushed it open. The weasel guard had forgotten to lock it.
With spirits soaring Arron snuck out into the hall, he couldn't get out the main entrance there was to many guards rushing in, however he could go further into the prison and hide in the back until things calmed down. He took off staying to the shadows and hiding at the back of the prison behind a large barrel.

OOC: If the guards find Arron that's fine if their not supposed to escape yet.

The Skarzs

OOC: Wylder had a plan with helping the prisoners, just so ya'll know.

BIC: Haenrok managed to grapple the spear out of the soldier's paws (how he was able to grasp the haft with his stone paw he wasn't sure), and gave him a stunning knock to the chest that sent him sprawling, gasping in pain on the floor. The sea otter was then almost immediately set upon by the other guard who used his saber with full intent to kill.

Bowling into the soldier as his sword stuck in the spear haft, Haenrok shoved him on top of the other guard, and then, in a fit of rage, he drove the spear down into them.

Alarie screamed. Two more guards came in from outside, one with leather gauntlets garbed Alarie from behind. She thrashed and kicked but her feeble attempts did little. She was worn out. They dragged her out into the hall. Three more guards came running from down the hall to restrain Henrock.

OOC: I only have time for a partial post... :'(

Cordan was walking by the jail when he heard a commotion within. He dropped everything he was doing and bolted inside. What he saw amazed him. Five guards were grappling with the two new prisoners he had talked to a few hours before. He had to think on his feet.

"Halt!" The command echoed around the hall. The soldiers dropped what they were doing for a few minutes, long enough for Haenrok to shake himself free. "I have orders to take these magicbeasts to the interrogation room... personally." Four of the soldiers backed off, but one stayed forward. boldly, he questioned: "How ya gonna do dat, huh?" Glowering at him, Cordan drew his sword. "Do you want to find out?" He said threateningly. The guard backed off. "Get on patrol!" He growled. Turning, he mouthed to Haenrok (Alarie still seemed a bit incapacitated) "Go along with it." He fervently hoped they were smart enough to listen...

OOC: Sorry for the ridiculously short post.

Erich bolted into the prison, pushing one of the guards aside in haste. "What is the meaning of this?" he demanded. "Where is Captain Archel?"

The Skarzs

OOC: Erm, Haenrok just skewered two soldiers. . . and he still has the spear. He's not really about to be told to follow somebeast freely. :P

OOC: He doesn't have to listen to him.  ;D ;)

"In the interrogation room sir," The guard responded to Eric's question.

The guard with the leather gauntlets dropped Alarie and she fell on her knees breathing hard her paws feeling at the rope around her neck. She slipped it over her head and the poll clattered to the stone floor. She scrambled to her feet and ran to stand beside Henrock. Wide terrified eyes glancing around at everyone.

Archel paced back and forth in the interrogation chamber. A small room with a chair in the middle and various hideous implements of torturer hanging from the walls and ceiling. A new recruit stood by the door and watched him intently a question on his tough be he dared not ask it. Archel turned to his and said

"I know you wish to ask me something, many have the same question. You want to know why we interrogate and imprison children. But I tell you this, that is what they want you to think, they are not mere children. They are demons in child form. they play the pity game. They try to manipulate you. Why would they take the form of something as weak and helpless as a child, but they are far from helpless. You will see what I mean soon enough," Archel stopped, he heard a clamor in the hall and sighed. They could not control a single prisoner. He drew his blade and left to deal with it himself.

OOC: Ha! A battle of wits. So much fun!

BIC: Brenn narrowed his eyes at her. Maybe she was genuine, maybe not. He couldn't tell... But she had done exactly what he had hoped she would do. That was an automatic warning sign for him. Anytime something he planned went exactly aright, it set off alarms in his head. Too easy quickly tends to turn into too trapped. So he played his cards just as he normally would- cautiously. "I already tolja- from a guard. I ain't no apprentice pickerpocket, I'm a pro-fessional thief, and I earns me livin' well." He showily put the coins back in his pouch. "What der you do ter live? Look fer coins in the gutter?"

At that point, Rayne decided to jump in, having stayed silent long enough. "What's it t'you, knowin' what my friend does for a living? If I dinn' know better, I'd say you're pickin' for information." The squirrel spat, forgetting, for a moment, that now most definitely was not the time to get agitated. Especially if this squirrel was a spy.

Selva looked between her friend and the stranger. She would have grinned, but she knew it might defeat her purpose. With a tiny sigh, she stepped back to see what  would happen next. Personally, she wouldn't be so blunt about her suspicions with a stranger, but if Rayne wanted a confrontation, so be it.
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

Bitterly jittery, and not very glittery.

The Skarzs

Haenrok brandished the spear menacingly in one paw while his left, the stone one, he held protectively in front of the frightened Alarie. He growled at the soldiers from between his teeth.
"Get back; back!" He jabbed the spear at them. "I'm not afraid to kill you all to the last beast."

Though somewhat unnerved, Erich laughed. "Kill us to the last beast? I'd like to see you try."

The liuetenant drew his saber, stepping towards the otter. "Come and face me, you fool!" He snarled. "See how confident you feel once I've run you through!"

The Skarzs

"H-uh? Wha. . . ?" The soldier who had received Haenrok's blow to the head stumbled out of the cell near the sea otter. "Wzgo'in on?"
Haenrok grabbed the unfortunate ferret and nearly tossed him at the ermine, hooking his stone arm around Alarie (OOC: Hope that's okay, Faiy) to try to pull her along the way opposite the soldiers. "C'mon; let's go, squirrel!" That way had to lead somewhere; he had seen a guard or two pass from that direction, so there should be an exit.

OOC: Wait, they should be in the same spot right now. I don't remember Faiy doing anything with Alarie...... Yeah, she's hiding behind Skarz, Archel WAS in the room.
