Name: Captain Greg Millard
Age: Adult (47)
Appearance: A brown-haired, somewhat tall Caucasian man.
Clothes: He wears the uniform of a coalition captain (basically a U.S. navy officer's uniform)
Weapons: A standard-issue pistol
Strengths: Experienced in leadership and combat strategy.
Weaknesses: Has a tendency to lash out when under pressure. Not particularly physically strong.
History: When the disease finally ended, the remaining governments formed a coalition. Along with the objective to restore order on Earth, the coalition also sought to apprehend those responsible for the plague.

When it was revealed that KosovoCorp was responsible for the infection, as well as participating in illegal colonization, the coalition made its destruction top priority. Captained by Greg Millard, the U.S.S Magnanimous has been sent to capture Talia and shut down her operations.

Ok, you're in. Sounds very interesting.

@Sandpaw
I noticed you had a smaller ship the "shuttle" in your earlier post, but I changed that a little.

Now we have one large ship which carries several smaller ships, I am thinking the big ship has a warp-drive due to the timescales implied in traveling to another planet.

My new character is the leader of the humans, and Ridge is her military commander. Between the post here and and the one on the main RP I set up a backstory for that, building off of your disease outbreak.

The ship contains approximately the stuff I listed, but we can tweak that. In addition to soldiers it has scientists, engineers, as well as their families.

In setting up the backstory I made these key details:

1. The disease is native to the "Redwall Planet" (Which the humans call Alterra)
2. Since the disease came from their, It no longer makes sense for refugees to GO there in order to escape the outbreak.
3. Therefore, the outbreak has already ended and a cure has been found, making Alterra a safe destination for humans.
4. Meanwhile, the disease mutated Earth's small animals into large intelligent ones (like those from redwall, because that is what the disease does, Ill call them super-animals).
5. Since humans had killed off most of the "good" animals through environmental polloution and stuff, the super-animal population on Earth was overwhelmingly vermin
6. Vast vermin hordes overran the Earth, during and after the outbreak, basically killing anyone who didn't get sick. (like a zombie apocalypse, but with man-sized rats instead of zombies.)
7. Natalia, Ridge, and others managed to get a ship and get off planet, coming to Alterra because it is not nearly as vermin infested as Earth. In the process, Ridge and his men became quite battle hardened. (But the super-animals on Earth were still increasing in intelligence and not yet at human level.)

Also:
8. During the outbreak, some mossflower ("alien") animals had escaped facilities on Earth, stolen a ship, and returned to mossflower after having been experimented on. (some of our other characters may have been on that ship, others may have been mutated as a result of experiments that took place on the Alterra labs before they were destroyed.)

Further:
9. Natalia and her scientists used a flawed version of their cure which partly turned them into animals. This was because in order to be immune to the disease they had to take on elements of the "alien" biology. Those other scientists are still mutated, while Natalia went to extreme lengths to restore her human appearance at great cost to her welfare.

She hates the mossflower animals, seeing them as monsters. For her, it was deeply distressing and humiliating when she got basically turned into one of them during the outbreak.

Despite this, because of the cure, the humans and the mossflower animals now share large amounts of DNA, to the point where distinctions between them are relatively meaningless. Its up to the other characters to realize that they can live in peace before Natalia gets all the remaining humans (and many animals) killed fighting an insane war against the far more numerous animals.

In a sense, the animals of mossflower are Moby [bad person] to her Captain Ahab. At least for now, maybe she will eventually see the light.

EDIT: Oh bad stuff Space-Fleet is after me now. Maybe she can salvage some of the old ships in orbit around Alterra which the plague turned into tombs, I think there should be one or two that didn't crash... then again, a diplomatic soloution may be a safer bet.

Eulaliaaa!

Just out of curiosity, what mutations did Natalia have?

Im still thinking on that. For now it remains deliberately vague, but they would have dominated her appearance. Probably some paws, animal facial traits, changes bone structure, large patches of fur... stuff like that.

Eulaliaaa!

Fur maybe? Fur would have been really obvious. Maybe claws and animal-like ears, wings, a tail, whiskers. I dunno, just throwing random ideas out there...  :D

Yeah, stuff like that. I edited my post as you were replying :P

Sizes of the ships so far and stuff. Also posted over there.

Here's my second character.

Name: General Dyaus Goyak.
Species: Mutated bull.
Age: 50 (Bull years)
Gender: Male.
Appearance: A grizzled veteran bull with four arms.
Clothes:
Weapons: A trident, a sabre, and a bow.
Strengths: Experienced fighter. Strong.
Weaknesses:  Tends to get angry. Views all other species other than his own and lions as inferior. Is easily influenced.
History: He was born in the faraway land of Bharat which was affected greatly by the war with humans. He, along with threescore armed beasts, used the great golden eagles to drop them off on Mossflower to conquer it and bring it under his control.

Is he usable?

Eulaliaaa!

I'm not sure I understand the history, it's a little confusing. Other than that, yes (just make sure you're about the same size as others and you can't just step on them).

Lady Ashenwyte

I was thinking maybe smaller than a badger?

In real life bulls are larger than badgers, so maybe the same size?
